Non-yuk Personalised Mug...

OK, so I admit it, my children's names are fairly unusual, and DS in particular has started to notice that none of the overpriced tat stuff in gift shops has his name on it.

Would like to get him and his sister a mug/cup each with their name on, pref in a non-icky way (e.g. not keen on diggers for boys and fairies for girls).

Can anyone help in my quest? :)

Why don't you get one of the plain supermarket ones with their photo on, their not exactly to my taste but my kids would love their mug on a mug Grin! And you can get them personalized I think with their name. You could chose a photo with their favorite friend, hobby costume etc

Hmm that is a thought, thanks (and I think you're right, with DCs generally tacky is good Grin!)

You could personalise your own on snapfish or bonusprint - they often have discount codes on them too.

buy some ceramic paint and DIY? Or give them a plain mug each and they decorate their own? Paints aren't too expensive, you can buy sets of markers as well?

There are loads of sellers on ebay who will print names etc on mugs- this for example is fairly tasteful, there are nicer ones for a bigger budget. Also try Not on the High Street,

Big Tomato ro Blue Tomato can never remember what it is called do plain cream mugs that are lovely and can;t be personalised.

My 2 have quite a few of them -'Mummy's Little Soldier' is one of DS's fave and Cheeky Monkey but you can get them with just their names of nicknames on.

Thanks for replies, think I'll try Not on the High Street. But painting my own is a possibility too...
