Does anyone know if there are ever any offers on playmobil stuff before Christmas?

My ds (aged 3) has become obsessed recently with the playmobil Knight's Empire Castle which he saw in his Cars magazine and wants one for Christmas. The only thing is they cost £140 and that is without any of the knights/horses which he would also need to play with it. We only usually spend about £100 each on the kids as they are only 3 and 4 and I think that is enough. Plus, i would have to buy him a few other things as well as he wouldn't understand that it is expensive and would wonder why his sister is getting more stuff from Santa. Do you think I have any hope of finding one cheaper?!

www.toysdirect.com/ have 20% off all toys until 31st Aug. There is also a cheaper castle called Falcon Knight's Castle at £64.01. If he is only 3 he might be happy enough with it.

Log on the playmobile website and see if they are doing any offers. You need to create an account to get detail of prices.
By logging in they will send you offers every so often so you may find they do a deal nearer xmas.

You could buy the knights etc as stocking fillers or to wrap up individually for a couple of additional gifts.

Otherwise you could find a different kind of castle a bit cheaper maybe, like this one www.elc.co.uk/Knight%27s-Fortress/128631,default,pd.html and then you'd have lots of money for knights etc

a couple of years ago I bought DD the playmobil hospital (over £100) using the Boots 3 for 2 on Toys that they usually do at Christmas time. Got 3 x £100 value toys for roughly £200. I actually hung on to the hospital for a year and gave it to her the following Christmas. HTH.

Last year John Lewis did 20% off all playmobil in early December, I imagine they will do something similar in the run up to Christmas this year.

Past 2 years I have bought Playmobil from John Lewis, the hospital for £79 when it was RRP £129 and the farm at £49 with a RRP of £99.
With JL it's worth waiting as near as you dare to Christmas itself. I bought both of the above in the last 10 days or so.

Have just bought the police car normally £25 for £12.75. Its back up to full price now so not sure if it was a mistake or a genuine reduction (though it didn't advertise it as 50% off?) at a random time of the year!!

Boots have some playmobil on 3 for 2 - not a massive choice but worth a look.

Last year at the start of December (or possibly towards the end of Nov) ELC had 20% off all playmobil. Unlike usually a regular 20% off ELC code (think it was a Christmas one but may have been a b'day one) worked with this (usually their discount codes only work with full price items). This was a HUGE saving!
