He loves
cooking,
horses,
cleaning (if only that lasted into teen years lol),
cars,
tools,
and my DSi.

I am getting him a DSlite (don't you love ebay)
and have bought him some My Little Pony sets.

But need some more ideas on what to get him.

We get our kids a kids' size sleeping bag for their 3rd birthday, a proper one from a camping shop that rolls up tiny.

A very restrained Biscuit at DSLiteGrin.

Has he got any of the peppa pig toys?

my ds2 who is 3.5 years doesn't need much as we have it already cos of ds1 age 7yrs.

However......

due to the fact that he has an older brother and so has been "exposed" to things earlier he is also getting a ds lite. I have got him the peppa and dora game for them.

We also have a Wii that he is desperate to play but the games ds1 has are to hard so i have brought him a go dieago one.

He aslo has Ben 10 toys, SuperWhy annual, flannel that expands when wet, crazy golf set, outdoor set comprising of football, soft darts, basket ball. Little LED lights that go on his fingers.

IAP, thats the problem I have DS2 is exposed to "older" toys because DS1 is 12.

I have also bought him a Wii game - golf because he is driving me mad for golf lol.

He has suddenly (last night) shown an interest in hotwheels - after he got hold of a present I bought my nephew and has been playing with it since.

You could always get him a box with a recipe and all the things to make it. Kids love that kind of stuff as they get time with you.

Hotwheels are good and they don't need to cost a fortune.

Does he need some new books?

My DS2 (4) also loves cooking and cleaning.
Last Christmas (when he was 3) we got him some plastic mixing bowls, wooden spoons, silicone cupcake cases, whisk etc as well as an apron and chefs hat set. Got quite a lot of it from Poundland - they have some nice bright cooking stuff. He uses it for real cooking and play cooking - I give him dry pasta and raisins, dried beans etc and he mixes it up and makes pretend cakes.

He also got a play broom which he still loves.

No way - I always buy Playnobil second hand. It is soooo expensive!
My ds is 3.5 and we have got him a Kiddizoom camera, fireman outfit, books, and loads of (second hand from Freecycle!) Playmobil.
I agree with the cooking set. My dc's really love getting there own cooking stuff.
Have you got him any play tools? Ds loves his tool belt (although I cannot remember where we got it).
Ds loves to play the Carnival game on his brothers ds. Loads of mini games set in a Fairground. They are of varying levels of difficulty, so that might suit?

When my DD was little we were given a kids cleaning trolley. It had a mop and bucket on the bottom layer and lots of toy cleaning equipment hanging on the top layer. It was on wheels and she could wheel it around the house cleaning.
My DS also loved it once he could walk and every child who came in the house loved it too. It was probably one of our most played with toys.
I think it was from the ELC.
Definitely worth a look.

I really should know better than to coment but your DS seems to have a lot. DS Lite, 4 sets of playmobil etc. Will he be getting presents from others too?

Report
TheLadyEvenstar · 28/11/2010 17:59

INSS, there are a few gifts yes BUT in my defence I have bought many of them preloved so not spent as much as I have on DS1.
