Hand hold through fear of the unknown - quitting

Hello, looking for advice/words of wisdom/constructive critism.

I've got a dd at home, went back to work soon after giving birth, got a promotion to management (on a temp contract), was supposed to be going through interviews for it now but they've put them on hold while they review the role.

I understand that this is a great time for them to do that but they have been getting a lot from me - I have been dedicated and hard working to the extent I feel like I'm not present in my home life. My peers and managers have been praising my work too, so this hault is frustrating.

After being told that I'll be on a rolling contract until they decide what to do about the role, I so happened to come across a job in the same field but part time. It's ideal for me spending more time with my young dd. I applied and have been offered it. But while I feel that I haven't been treated in the fairest manner, I'm very nervous about handing in my notice this coming week. I'm mentally finished with the place though as I really have been going above and beyond (long hours, long trips away from home etc. ). I've also seen the company treat others poorly and I don't want to go down that route.

I'm also very worried about drop in salary but think that I've come to the point where I've realised throwing myself into work is no longer the best thing for me or my dd (and family) and that being present in her life and feeling sane and having time to focus on me is important.

I'm not quite sure why I'm posting - I feel a bit overwhelmed and wondered if anyone had done anything similar or can honestly say that money and being stressed all the time can quite rightly take a back seat?

Thank you, I wasn't expecting such kindness. It feels like the right thing, and of course there are challenges, but we all get by.

It's great news, still keeping your hand in but having more time at home with your DD, they are only young once, win, win.
