Team building exercises that aren't crap?

I do struggle being the boss

Atm my staff are all doing good work but independantly from each other, without considering each others action/duties/tasks

How can I make them into a team - I would really like them to be more considerate of each other and to think about how there action impact on the others

Any ideas...I wondered if a team building exercise would help

Do they want to take their kids to work? Sounds horrendous to me!

Seriously, I think you should praise them a lot, both individually and as a team. Let them know that you're noticing everything they're doing right. That may make them more amenable to suggestions for doing some things differently. When you say care industry, do you mean caring for elderly/vulnerable people? If so, you're doing brilliantly to have all your staff doing good work.

Well if they don't - they can arrange childcare

Yes, sure. Was just being lighthearted.

Sounds like they are good workers anyway, which is a good start. Is there a high turn over of staff or do people tend to stay for some time?
