The GC what now? Are we the cult?

Twice in the last week or so I've read TRA posts on twitter saying GC fems are a cult. Despite the fact the movement begs for debate and sunlight. No secrecy or pushing for kids to hold secrets from their families.
Is this the latest in "I know you are but what am I" or has this been a claim all along and I haven't noticed?

@Artichokeleaves

I am absolutely prepared to join the parma violet schism.

Is this our very own suffragists suffragettes schism?

Except the latter seem to be pro parma violets rather than arson, disrupting public events, imprisonment and hunger strikes?

We are so floral and mild-mannered. What would Kitty Marion et al make of us?

Literal Parma Violets for me too, but I could (just about) be persuaded to try a tiny bit of the weetabix abomination - my life mantra is that if you haven't tried it or done it you simply don't know, so I would have to. Only if someone else put it together though.

I physically shudder at the thought of the weetabix abomination.

@Wrongsideofhistorymyarse

I'd like literal parma violets.

I draw the line at literal parma violets, those things are revolting in fact if had the choice between those and Lang Cleg's weetabix abomination the weetabix abomination would win every day of the week and twice on Sundays, such is my literal hatred of said parma violets.

@dianebrewster ooooooh! I may have to add that to my Christmas wish list!

I've got my suffragette tartan scarf all ready for winter! It's lovely 😎.

Once I get the purple streaks in my hair I reckon that's me initiated. Someone else can have my cake though, I'd rather have a nice chip butty.

@Artichokeleaves

I am up for the literal violets.

We can scatter them on cakes and on weetabix for a start.

Maybe those fancy floral beds that spell out something - violets that spell out Literal perhaps.

I understand if weetabix is presented you should tut and move away.

I would plump for 'green, white and literal violets'. Whether an excessive use of exclamation marks should be used at the end of the motto would have to be discussed by the Motto Committee.

I can't help feeling that this cult is a bit shambolic. We don't even have a motto.

It may be more strapline than motto: “Redefine reality? No thank you!”

I have just spent literally minutes looking for a suitable neckerchief. (I used to wear the red and blue traditional ones in the 70s - follow me for more fashion notes).

I can't find a polka dot one in purple, so it'll have to be a purple paisley bandana. I will look like someone's deranged spaniel, but I don't care.

I prefer patisserie to cake

I am right with you if we're forming a custard faction. I would gladly give up my autonomy and freedom of thought for a plentiful supply of pasteis de nata.

@Alekto

They don't herd well

The Unherdable Cunts!

It all sounds marvellous. I quite like carbonara and gin, though I prefer patisserie to cake and won't touch scones.

Riffing off Suzanne Moore, maybe it should be a Stroppiness of the Unherdable.

It's pretty recent, Anotheruser. I think possibly because, as pps have stated above, some people started to question whether genderism had some cultish aspects.

Okay, I'm in for everything apart from the love bombing.

I can handle gin, cake, dancing, witchy outfits, chanting, plant worship, free tshirts, a lesbian wife, cash and or tokens as long as theres no touching.

Errr I cannot do gin. So as long as there are many carafes of red wine I'm in.
Never love bombed anyone in my life, I'm just a crotchety old biddy not made that way, but I will try. As long as theres wine.

I thought it was Weetabix + Marmite? I might have just disqualified myself

Or, you've opened up a more budget cult signature pasta dish than Nigella's carbonara, isn't she a fan of Marmite Spaghetti?

Alternately, Weetabix = bad or Weetabix = No, thank you

You're also missing the neckerchief or other clothing item with a discreet viper pattern or the suffragette tartan.
