Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Reducing the male population by 90% will solve all our problems

So, will anyone be up for celebrating international castration day? The Femitheist, a 22 year old criminology student has been writing a book where she argues for a new future based upon conscious social controls, sex-selective abortions, development of dual-female progeny, single sex education, the eradication of the nuclear family, containment of the remaining men, and "Perfect girls will be conceived, developed, and engineered in state-owned breeding centres"

"I believe that conventional equality, with a 50/50 female-to-male ratio, is an inferior system. Essentially my ideas lead to men being made a special class – a far more valued class – having choice of a myriad of women due to the difference in sex ratio. That is my intention. Men would be made more valuable, and their quality of life would be dramatically improved. They would have a subsidised existence if you will, akin to going on an all-expenses paid vacation that lasts from birth to death"

This is worse than Plato and his loony republic. But could this really be worse than our current reality? I am just wondering what others think, is this really radical, completely bonkers, rational?

The "SCUM Manifesto" wouldn't have for a moment talked about how WONDERFUL they were making the world for MEN.

This reads like some man's jerkoff material. Just like some people like imagining post-apocalyptic scenarios because they imagine they'll be among the rugged survivor-adventurers, this writer imagines he'll be in paradise, ten girls for every boy.

Every time this scenario is developed in science fiction, where men aren't exterminated (or close to exterminated) and are instead kept as pets in numbers that would give each man a statistical harem, it's a scenario explored by male writers. This is, in the most literal sense, wankery.

sounds a bit like the "SCUM manifesto"

and this is why a lot of people distance themselves from feminism because when they hear the "word" feminism this is precisely the sort of thing they think of

Hackmum, you're thinking of Consider Her Ways. You can get it free here:
freeditorial.com/en/books/consider-her-ways--2

The title is from the book of Proverbs: "Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise". It's a neatly chosen title for that story.

I really don't like misogynists, but the world would be a poorer place without the rest of them.

There’s a John Wyndham short story about a society where they’ve got rid of all the men. The gist iirc is that it was all very nice and peaceful.

First thoughts; false flag by MRA's but maybe I'm just in denial about some women being equally nuts! Anyway it sounds horrific and not something I could get behind.

If that’s what you’re into, love, just make like an aphid and go for thelytoky - easier path, imo.

I like men so I’ll be advocating for standard human reproduction Grin but to each her own, I guess.

nasajedaco Was that literally the best you could do? Woman attempts to frame partner? Actual women and children are raped by men every day. All the time. Women are murdered by men all the fucking time. I don't give a shit about your story. Is it wrong to download abuse pictures to frame a man? Yes, but not as wrong as it is to make them (like men do). That's the bit you should be sad about, that the photos are there to download.

Wow. That's horrifying. How will the 90% be reduced? Sex selective termination, genetic engineering, murder? hmm Horrible.

You do know that sex selective termination and murder is actually happening to millions of real girls. Not just as a figment of someone's imagination (who is not even a feminist) but has been going on for years and is going on at this very moment.

Actually, I am not in the least confused.
I am calling nasajedaco on a thread derail Hmm

why? what do you want to do with her image?

there's no such thing as child porn - it's all images of child rape

Report
nasajedaco · 01/09/2014 15:29

"unpleasant" that's your word for downloading images of child abuse (which actually leads to an increased demand for them) and then trying to frame someone else for them? And even in false allegations of sex-related crimes the victims reputation never recovers even if he is proven innocent.

There are plenty of cases of victims of false allegations committing suicide.

And why aren't we seeing a picture of Meri Jane Woods? She was found guilty of a felony count of sexual abuse of children/possession of child pornography and a misdemeanor count of unsworn falsification to law enforcement. If a man was found guilty of that there is no way he would be get the chance to remain faceless.

I want to see what Meri Jane Woods the sex offender, liar and ch*ld-porn downloader looks like.

Report
SolidGoldBrass · 01/09/2014 15:13

Well, that's an unpleasant thing to do, but it's not murder, and the perpetrator got found out and prosecuted, so the victim's reputation is restored.

Two women a week are killed by their male partners or ex-partners. Cases of a man murdering his own children and/or his wife (and sometimes himself) occur pretty frequently, as well.

Here's something recent, I know it isn't about murder but IMO downloading child abuse images from the internet and then trying to frame someone for them is extremely horrific and disturbing.

And why aren't any of the articles on the topic showing a photo of the perp Meri Jane Woods? If the perp was a man his name would be plastered on every news article and TV station in the country.

If there were reasonably regular occurrences of 'feminists' or individual women going on murderous rampages against men - or indeed regularly killing or violently assaulting men - then this might be considered a moderately dangerous piece of writing. But about the only acts of major violence I can think of committed by women for what they claimed were feminist reasons are the shooting of Andy Warhol by Valerie Solanus, and the murders committed by Aileen Wuornos. Hmm. That's a total of two in about 50 years. So, chaps, no need to panic just yet.
