I'll say no more. Just read it and fume....'s supposedly to raise money for the right to free speech. But the organisers have made it very clear that they don't actually think women actors, comedians, singers or anything else have much of a right to speak at this very high profile, varied (ie. combing British and USA talent across music, acting and comedy) extremely mainstream event, which will be broadcast to millions.

I have read it. I am fuming.

Thanks for posting this. Your writing is absolutely spot on.

It was this man, Chris Atkins, who told me that "positive discrimination harms the very people it seeks to support," blissfully unaware that the boys' club is and always has been one massive act of positive discrimination.

So true.

Latest white man on the bill is the charming Jimmy Carr known for his jokes about rape (Example - What's the difference between rape and football? Women don't like football). Ha bloody ha. Clearly Amnesty believes making money is more of a priority than changing attitudes to violence against women.

You can just imagine the misogynistic atmosphere in the Amnesty offices when the testosterone count gets too high. Male activists are notorious for this.
