I don't know if it will work for you Mimi as I know you said 5:2 probably wouldn't, but I combine that with 16:8 - which is consuming all calories within an 8 hour window each day. It is still possibly to massively overeat like this of course but as evening snacking tends to be my issue I find this helps - if I want a glass of wine later I try to have lunch at 1/2pm so my 8hoirw goes later to incorporate wine too

Yesterday
L: shishito peppers, leftover banana pancake, an egg
S: banana/coffee/almond butter smoothie
D: falafel salad bowl and beetroot/sumac soda

Today:
L: roasted cauliflower, little gems, tahini and lemon dressing, dark chocolate
S: almond milk latte
D: chickpea and carrot tagine with couscous and lettuce, 100kcal bag of nuts and dried cranberries
1 glass of red wine

Delivered by Kiki That's a good suggestion - but I know myself and I'd rather live on watery gruel and still have a glass of wine to look forward to at the end of the day. I may however try to cut out chocolate biscuits - I also eat a truckload of those in the afternoon. Sadly any type of calorie/ points counting just makes me think more about food! Does anyone do healthy eating mon-fri and then more lax at weekends? That's what my French friends seem to do with some success?

I'm trying to use MFP but works for a day or two and then I lose interest. Got a 2 and 4 year old and only work one day so need to be on the go a bit which is why I don't think 5:2 will work. Also I really need to have a glass or two of wine everyday plus a small sweet treat. Has anyone got any tips? I'd like to lose 20 pounds but keep losing and gaining the same five pounds. V annoying. What about just eating half portions?

Today I had a breakfast that was not porridge. I chopped up a courgette, stuck it in the frying pan with a spot of oil and put the lid on so it steamed. The plan was to add an egg and some tetrapak liquid egg white except because I am clueless I bought a nice yellow box of liquid egg that said "Whole egg" on it in big letters. You would have thought the colour would have tipped me off when it was sitting there on the shelf but no. I didn't know you could buy whole egg in boxes so I've learned something. I tipped (carefully measured) egg over it, cooked it a bit and then put it under the grill. It was lovely, so filling that I didn't want anything to eat at 1.30.

Tomorrow will be scrambled egg because I need to eat up the liquid egg before the 18 eggs arrive from my uncle's hens.

B: eggy courgette (360)
L: huge National Trust fruit scone (453 at a total guess)
D: (planned) chicken, bacon, lettuce, wraps, red peppers (528) Possibly with a dollop of home made hummus added if I want to run into my exercise calories

Yesterday was a day off and was starving after first fast day the day before

B: lettuce, tomato and houmous
L: artichoke with chipotle-almond dip and some figs
S: small handful tigernuts, coffee-banana-date-almond butter smoothie
D: went to a whisky and chocolate tasting then ate out and had 6 oysters and choppino soup with half a bottle of wine and a sake oyster shooter. Came home and had a big old spoon of hazelnut-chocolate buyer bought earlier Blush

Party food actually involved 3 halves of jacket potatoes with cheese and onion topping. And alcohol.

And some cheesecake.

I'm over for the day, but it could have been a lot worse.

Overnight oats?

I'm just as hungry at lunchtime if I don't have any breakfast as I would be if I had eaten. So if I'm busy, it doesn't cross my mind. My friend doesn't understand it - she's quite hangry if she hasn't eaten. Grin I'm not actively trying to avoid eating as that messes with my head. I tried 5:2 but it really doesn't suit me. If I only have a few cals in a day to have then I end up not eating anything as I can't decide what's worth eating.

Today has been a disaster as it's a birthday party day.

Pancake for breakfast at a craft place, with toffee sauce.
Fries and a couple of bits of chicken for lunch at MDs
Party food later. Including some lovely cakes.

Have been to zumba this morning.

Tomorrow will be better.

I've been eating porridge for breakfast more or less every day since May. I like porridge but not as much as I did in May. I am ready for a change but I can't be bothered to break an egg in the mornings.

Anyone have any bright ideas for the bone idle?

Well done Loli - that's a fantastic loss. It's a great feeling when people start to notice isn't it?!

I genuinely don't understand how people can forget to eat! I'm constantly hungry and finish one meal thinking about what I'm going to have for next meal, and am a terrible comfort / stress eater.

Today I've had a slice of toast and butter with coffee before circuit class, then homemade beef madras with steamed vegetables. I'm on nights which really affects my eating patterns - I find myself craving sugar in the early hours. I can't decide whether to eat something early hours, then will have my overnight oats with chia seeds before going home.

My eating in the holidays is poor. In terms of when I eat in particular. In school terms, I skip breakfast and have a piece of fruit at break if I'm hungry. More often though, I don't and I have a salad with fruit and a cereal bar for lunch. Then I have dinner after work. And something to eat later in the eve if hungry.

During the holidays, the 'not having breakfast because I'm hungry' can go on til quite late in the day if I'm busy.

Today I went to my dance fit class.
Then had a lazy day at home, but forgot lunch.
Dinner was at 4pm as I realised I was hungry then. Sweet potato fries and a pork chop with stuffing.

I've had a packet of mini breadsticks and a baileys this eve.

Not a lot of food. Torn between finishing for the day on a (very) low amount of cals, or eating something. But I don't know what I want.

I'm tired and flagging! I'm rachel141269 on MFP and have no friends (didn't actually know you could!) if anyone wants to join me. Today I've had....
2 Ryvita, peanut butter and a banana.
Bag of posh veg, small portion of meat sauce from last nights bolognaise.
Tonight's tea will be chicken with salad. I'll be around 1000 calories.
2 stone down since I started altogether, another stone and a half (ish) to go. Ugh.
