I'm on day 3 and feel dreadful! Achey and sore and can't stop sweating/peeing. Hopefully this is a good sign!

I'm also using My Fitness Pal to keep me on track with my eating.

Has anyone completed, did you find it easy to stay motivated for the 60 days and did you have good results? I thought I was pretty fit and managed the Shred etc quite easily but this is hard!

Go for it!

As Barbie says there is a lot of jumping but you push up from your feet and land softly again so it shouldn't be too bad. Plus it's less than one hour a day so unless you're planning to do it at 3am surely it'll be fine?

We're starting week four tomorrow. Pure Cardio followed by Cardio Abs. Looking forward to the abs again.

Do it!

There is a lot of jumping but of you get your form right you will land softly and not make any noise!

I'm on day 9, not getting through it as fast as twice a week we have our pt instead. I do like it though, keep looking at before and after pictures on line...keeps me going Wink

My husband bought the DVDs and I have been umming and aaahing about giving it a go. Is there a lot of jumping? We have really creaky floors and I don't want to annoy the neighbours!

6lb off and 1.5 inches off my waist in the first two weeks. Now at the end of week three so not going to look for another week and we'll see then... I LOVE the ab work in the c-sit position. It's fab and I can really feel my muscles engaged the whole time.

Nice to see you're still going and that we're not hte only ones!

Knocked out with gastro. Ha a pt session last night and nearly killed myself Sad back to it tomorrow, I think we hit day 5.

Have you noticed any change? I've dropped 4lb but I think that's gastro related!

How are you doing Barbie? We're on day 12 now which means tomorrow we do the short but intense Pure Cardio AND Cardio Abs.

showtunesgirl there's loads of plank work so I"m not sure whether or not that's any good for separations? No sit up stuff as yet though but that could change with the Abs add-on tomorrow so I will report back.

Wow. Kudos to those doing Insanity. I've only ever watched snippets of it and run screaming into the night.

Turbo Fire is more my kind of thing but after having DD I still have Diastasis Recti so loads of core stuff is out. Sad

Hmmmm not sure I could squeeze 40 mins in, especially if I need a shower afterwards which judging by the reviews I would do!

I'm only on week two but so far it's around 40 minutes each day. I think next month it's 50-60 minutes.

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me how long the insaanity workouts last?

I worked with a PT last year and got in great shape from it but can't really afford it this year and also struggling with time to fit it in anyway so I was thinking of doing this instead. I work out most days in my lunch hour as well as doing evening activities so I'm wondering if this will fit into my lunchtime sessions?

I've found that I've lost the miscle tone that I built up with the PT very quickly Sad

fleecy you don't stop...you just have to restart! Grin

Haven't done it for two days now, this being day 2. All our family have been hit with a gastro bug. Two sick babies and 1 sick husband, I've had my exercise running around after them all day. Feeling slightly funny myself so really don't trust myself not to be sick if I do intense cardio!

I hadn't even thought about what would happen when we stopped! We do have a gym membership so we will have to be disciplined about going to make the most of our buff new bodies Hmm

We had our first day off yesterday. Felt odd not to exercise! But I guess your bod benefits from a rest day.

While living in Dubai dh went along to a group called circuit factory, very much like insanity and he lost 39kg in about 4 months! When we relocated to France we soon realised that we would gave trouble due to not speaking French, the gyms are so expensive and to be honest I doubt we would of gone once the kids were asleep at 8pm.

The personal trainer is excellent, we train together (my dh and I) in the comfort of our own home. Regardless of whether we feel like doing it or not we have no choice when she turns up!

Dh was keen to incorporate a lot of the moves from the circuit factory since he ha such good results, so for most part the level of intensity matches that of circuit factory. Tough!

However dh found that once you stop something so intensive as insanity it is easy for lose the shape and put back on weight. So our trainer is making us do weight training, boxing, ab work etc.

The plan is to sculpt the body using the trainer and pilates an then strip the layers of fat revealing my new toned body underneath Hmm
Well that's the plan anyhow Grin

Must admit I'm aching this morning!

If you google insanity on you tube you can basically get the whole workout programme Wink which we found after parting with the cash...

They hold their value well so you can buy the set on eBay and resell for around the same amount. Well, I'm hoping so!

I really fancy Insanity but can't bring myself to part with the cash.

Grin terra! I have read up on each workout before doing it so I know what to expect. Good to know it's made a difference to your DH even though he hasn't done it as recommended.

barbie good to know I'm not alone. My DH was very sceptical but he is doing it too and I think it is helping because I can't back out! How did you find the personal trainer? Similar level to Insanity?

I'm on day 3, going against the grain and saying I love it Grin

I have had personal trainer 2 x a week since end of October, added to his I have been doing Zumba once a week and machine pilates.

Pilates course stopped over Christmas and my weight has stayed the same, decided to use insanity as an extra push to get the kg's off.

My biggest challenge is having the energy to do it once the kids are in bed, days are long and hard enough without having to sweat my ass off.

It's nice to know others are doing it too, everyone I know thinks I'm crazy for starting it

I've watched them, that any help?
My DH has the DVDs and does Monday til' Thursday then his shift changes on a Friday and he has never managed to fit the workout around his shift, so he then gives up til' the next Monday.
Even just doing the four days has made a huge change to his physique.

Bumping this thread - Bridezilla are you still going?

We're on day 6 today. I bought the DVDs from hopefully last week and knew I would have to start straight away or I'd stick them on the shelf and forget about it!

Hard work but am hoping it will be worth it.
