God hope not, I like snow falling when I have no where to go but hate it when it gets compacted and you spend most of the time sliding down hills on your arse

Me to. I do not like being cold! But I do like snow. Oh the dilemma!

Thanks OYBBK! I had forgotten how damn cold, cold is! I have been lulled into a false sense of security by the mild weather!
Will be watching the forecasts with interest. I do like a bit of proper snow [hsmile]

Maybe tak1ng, today's weather will have certainly fuelled things! I think things look to remain cool-cold, but mid month the temps seem to rise a bit (may well change)

So, help me out with this (thicky day, the DC's have trashed my brain power)....

wetter and colder than average would equal lots of snow woudn't it?

Twitter is full of UK winter forecasts predicting a bitterly cold few months, starting with a cold snap in a week's time. Hype?

We had a snow shower a bit before 8am this morning. :)

Those charts show that it is a little more likely to be wetter than average rather than drier than average though its pretty much in the balance. It looks to be also somewhat more likely to be colder than average over the next 3 months.

Sparkling - I kept meaning to take a photo of the beautiful tree across the road, when I went out yesterday I put a reminder on my phone for when I got home, except when I got home there were only a few forlorn leaves left!! In the morning it had been in all it's beautiful autumn splendor!! I was ShockConfusedHmm... one of these days I'll learn not to procrastinate... but not today Wink

OYBBK - sorry I didn't make it for coffee this week! Maybe next week if you are not too busy with half term stuff??

High of -3 here today. Winter definitely on the way.

Indith true, most people are set up for it but you do still get plenty of dickheads who forget how to drive when there's more than half an inch of snow on the road.

I'm still bemused by neighbours barbequeing and wearing shorts and flip flops when it's below zero.

Drive thru cash machines are handy though!

Snow on and off all day today. Still going now. Reckon it could be deep here tomorrow if it keeps up.

Canada your winters are tough but at least you have the set up for it. here it takes us by surprise every time Hmm. Damp uk cold is horrible, i spent a winter in russia and a dry -30 was so much nicer that our damp, horrible -5 or so.

dh racing on the tyne tomorrow so it will definitely snow Grin

Oooooh gritter just went past. Hope it doesn't snow til after I get back from dd's friend's party tomorrow, last time I did the bends into the village in the snow I ended up down the road to the football club after skidding.
