Hardly any rain in Leicestershire.My dad and I were looking at the field ponds today and commenting on how low they were.

Fingers crossed for no more rain for those worried about flooding.

not sure which data they are using Sleepinglion. A high pressure starts to build over us today and sits quite squarely on us through to the weekend. Its going to (finally) start to dry up for a bit. Temps will cool down, to more typical Jan temps. Probably wont plummet, (though there will be frosts) I think its going to be quite a 'cloudy high'. So, to me, snow seems unlikely thursday.

The Telegraph was warning of potential flooding if the sogginess doesnt ease off. I hope there is some respite.

Im in the SW, just waiting for the next lot of rain to hit, we live near a river which has already burst it's banks (went down a little yesterday), we live in a small village and both roads out tend to flood so fingers crossed it wont be as bad as the Met are saying.

Oh yes, actually thinking about it, you've had quite a bit of the wet rainy stuff over the last few weeks!

I think I overheard someone in the hairdressers this morning saying that we were heading for a hosepipe ban because although we had a really cold winter/snow, we've not had that much actual rain (although Wales and the South West will probably disagree with me at the moment!)
