Could anyone recommend self catering accommodation for a group of 8-10 friends and a couple of babies, in the lake district?

Thanks

Try www.keswickcottages.co.uk/
or www.lakeland-cottage-company.co.uk/
We've used both of these companies, and have been VERY satisfied. Very quick to respond to any probs you experience whilst on your stay aswell, the 1st one-keswick cottages, will send someone out on the day you call, even on a weekend!!

I'd try Goosemire Cottages, they have a good selection of large self catering properies. We've stayed in their Lake District cottages twice now.

We always visit the Lakes around September time when its started to get a little less busy. I would recommended starting with this site for Lake District holiday cottages as everything is split into categories which are dead easy to navigate. You can select group accommodation for large parties like yours, and then narrow the search even more by clicking cot available etc. Perfect!

Have a look at groupaccomodation.com and bigholidayhouse.com they are country wide and specialise in larger property. You have to trawl through though as some can be on the expensive side.

www.wheelwrights.com

we stayed in oakdene house which was really nice. there's a smaller cottage next door if it's not big enough on it's own.
