Is there anything like a Nintendo DS for a 3 year old?

am pondering getting something for DS3's birthday - he will be 3 in a couple of weeks. His big brothers have just got a DS each and he is desperate for something similar.

I have looked at the Leapster and the Cyber pocket (thanks to old threads - I don't have a clue ) but think they may be for older children?

Is it worth getting anything like this for a 3 year old and if so, does anyone have any recommendations?

TIA

thanks all - will take a look at them all and chat with DH
(and then probably just buy him some more Lego )

Why not get him a ds? He will still try to get the ds off his brothers, he wont settle with this v tec and leapfrog crap things when there is a ds or two in the house.

My 3 year old loved both super mario and erm... lego star wars. There are lots of games for this age group.

There's the handheld version of the v-smile too.
My DD's had a lot of mileage out of her v-smile that plugs to the TV, the handheld ones take the same games.

My ds had a ds at 3 with games like this on it

You can get some very simple but educational games for the ds.

DS is just 4 and loves his Cyberpocket we got him for Xmas. He's been playing I Can Do It Mum on my DS since he was 3. A lot of the Cyberpocket games are from 3+ (like Wall-E & Diego) and are easy for LOs to pick up and do.
