Feeling a presence in a crises?

Has anyone? My partner had a heart attack a few days ago, and had to be resuscitated on the bedroom floor. It was traumatic to say the least, but in the midst of all the drama I swear I felt my late mother in law standing a few feet away. It wasn't comforting or frightening, although I was terrified my DP was not going to come back. I just don't think it was anything I conjured up, there are plenty of other dear departed I would rather have had there for me, she was definitely there for DP. I got the impression she was just there for him whichever way it went.

I'm so glad your partner is doing well, it must've been quite an ordeal for you both

I've never experienced anything like this but have definitely heard of it before and find it fascinating

Yes. In my case it was a robin inside my car after a particularly unpleasant row with my brother which really upset me. I knew it was one of my dear departed loved ones making their presence known so I felt a bit less alone

I've not experienced anything like this but all my relatives who received end of life care - both Grandmas, Grandad and Uncle - seemed to see their dead relatives as they got close to the end. I don't know if it was the morphine though.

I have twice in my life felt a comforting presence, at times of extreme crisis. Both times it was as if someone was giving me a hug and letting me everything would be ok.

Yes I have felt my df presence when I was very ill with a life long condition I have. I found it very comforting.
