Not unless you were redeployed away from classroom duties before vaccination was available (as some CEV staff were)

It will be interesting to see union advice if the government decide that we're fully opening on 8th March. Obviously we'll need to see what the data is saying nearer the time.

I’m worried too. Makes me feel sick. The next month will be hard.

Bluewavescrashing · 06/02/2021 19:43

I'm still in the classroom and have been throughout. Up to 25 people in my small room depending on the day of the week. Ks1 so very hands on.

I would jump at the vaccine and feel we should have it.

For me it's not a case of going back to full classes causing the worry - the current situation is that my daily classes are nearly full anyway.

I am lucky enough to be getting my first dose of the vaccine tomorrow. Our LA started by doing special school staff and now are doing teachers/support staff of medically vulnerable pupils, so hopefully it will start filtering through to other school staff soon.

To add - I am in school every day and 3/4 of my class is in.

chocolateisavegetable · 07/02/2021 17:32

Great news Inspector

HarrietDVane · 07/02/2021 22:54

That's great news, @InspectorAlleyn (about the jab; not do much about having 3/4 of your class in).

I'm worried too. I'm in full time at the moment with just under half my class and it feels hazardous. Rates in my area are sky high (over 1000 per 100k) yet people are blatantly flouting the rules. I can't see it changing any time soon and the idea of being back with a full class fills me with dread.

I miss them, and I would love to be teaching normally again instead of this current juggling act - but not at the expense of my health or my family's health. I'm

That 'I'm' was a weird accidental autocorrect!
