Cats Protection, how long between homecheck and new kitties?

Assuming they have suitable ones, which I've been told our branch have. I am super excited, home check on Saturday, which she's pretty much said we've already passed as she knows our road and the houses well. Any chance of kitties by Sunday evening? Should I go cat shopping? Did I say I'm excited??

We've been lent a cage by CP so they're both holed up in there at the moment. The CP woman suggested that we keep them in there for a couple of days and take our lead from them. The dds are sitting by the cage stroking them through the bars and chatting to them.

Might also help if you feed them some tuna in springwater but warm it up a bit so that it is a bit smelly and just tempt them with it.

OP if you put them somewhere nice and quiet they will come out at their own time which will be about a day or two when they are used to the noise and smells. Also it might help if you play with them on on one, i.e one of you sits with them and i find that those sticks with feathers etc tends to draw their attention and balls too.

Also have a look at Zooplus they are a lot cheaper than PAH and also a bigger range. Have you got a scratching post? You will need one, also might be worth getting some feliway, i.e the plug in or spray it helps calm them at the start of new beginnings.

They've wedged themselves so far away from everyone and everything that they've squished the litter tray over to their food and posh biccies and won't be able to reach them!

I remember B.C. (Before Cat) being totally astounded when my mill's new rescue cat totally ignored the lovely cosy bed that had been specially purchased.

Well I had all the basics but one look at them when they arrived and I ran out to PAH and bought a massive big squishy fluffy bed of the type I thought was totally unnecessary! They're ignoring it

Oh so cute and Bramble is much more of a dog name imo, but if you are anything like me then you quickly give them nicknames and their posh name will only be used when naughty or at the vets, oh and I adopted my two from CP and she turned up with my kittens when she did the house check, so husband had a quick panicked drive to Pets at Home to kit the house out for them whilst I stayed and got the first cuddles.

Ask the family if they can come up with any other names, in the hope they come up with something you prefer.

We got our boys three weeks ago, Boris was going to stay as Boris. We decided to change our others boys name, it went from Gizmo, to Monty and the Oscar, but when he arrived his face looked gentle and he got called Ollie, but we still questioned it for a week!

Well, it's a bit of a saga. The ginger boy is currently called Arthur and the girl is Bramble. We'll keep Arthur, I like that and it suits him. We had decided on Maggie for the girl. However, since she's arrived, everyone else wants to keep Bramble, which I hate! I've said I don't mind but there is faint whiff of burning martyr around me if I'm honest... So the discussion is officially ongoing but I'm sure she'll end up staying Bramble.

Oh they are gorgeous. We had a Matilda called her Tilly for short.
We have DDs now and she is called Misty.
Others have been Phoebe, Scratch ( BF cat left when they moved abroad as she knew us.)
Gingers, Marmalade, Purdy. Friends girl Clawdia she was Siamese and used to sleep in the fireplace!

And we realised that because we don't know when they were born, only an estimate of their ages, we've had to pick birthdays for them! That was an exciting few minutes, the dds got very involved with that one!
