Two dogs, one on lockdown.....help!

Short story, i have two labradors, exercise them both together for 1.5 - 2 hrs per day.
DDog2 has been put on strict no exercise and Metacam for 1 week.
Any tips on how to handle this?
Just to note, DDog 1 was on bedrest for a couple of months as a pup and we coped. Having two is a whole new challenge!
I know she will cry pathetically when DDog 1 and I go out in the morning and will be whining continuously when I get back.
I can do brain stretching stuff, hiding nibbles in the garden etc,
But any other ideas very, very welcome

Just in case it is of any use to anyone with this problem in the future - lockdown dog was quite happy with her kong this morning. She was back in the house when demon dog and I came home, but just came in and went to her bed after a drink.

She is getting lots of fuss through the day, extra grooming, which she loves, and her limp seems to be improving.

Demon dog, however, is just as bad as ever 😁

Keeping them both in seems to be the obvious solution, but where Ddog 2 is (reasonably) laid back, ddog1 is a hyperactive bundle if energy.
She follows his lead, so if I kept them both here, he would be running around like a loon and she would be following. Seems better (for me too), to get him out, then 'hometime'is a lot easier to handle

I think to save her getting stressed just skip the walks for both if you have a garden where they can toilet, sunbathe and get fresh air.

Not the best, not the worst.
She was quite happy for half an hour or so, so an improvement on yesterday!
She is sulking dreadfully though 🐶

On the plus side, it looks as though the rest is helping.

@Dreamersandwishers I have a fully loaded Kong to try out in the morning, so fingers crossed.

copycopypaste not a daft idea, but she is too big to fit into a pushchair i tgink.

Have been out and bought large kong, bone and fripperies. I will load the kong and stick it in the freezer overnight. Dont know why I never thought about a kong before (thanks SlothMama), I used to use them when they were puppies.
Will probably be dragging ddog1 out for a walk now 😂

Ok maybe a daft idea, but can you get hold of an old pushchair and put ddog in it and the other can walk?

When I had to take my dogs on separate walks I'd give the dog left behind a frozen lickimat or kong. Now the one that got most upset doesn't care when the other one goes

Well, that was a disaster.
She spent the entire time we were out with her head through the catflap, crying pitifully.
DH said he tried to distract her, but she was determined to watch for us.
Might try getting some bones so she can lie in the garden with a bone while were out.

And if that fails, they will both have to stay in and I will turn to gin for breakfast......

I don’t think you’ll be able to sneak out without the poorly dog noticing.

We are q bit too open plan to seperate them, and they are like an Derby and Joan - totally inseparable, they are curled up together now

Is there anyone else at home to distract her while you go out with DDog1? How will DDog1 get on if his/her exercise is also curtailed?

I think perhaps for first couple of days go back to basics, as in leaving DDogs in separate rooms, alone, while you do other things, so she gets used to being on her own. Also vary the time you take DDog 1 out.
I understand the issue, we have it too, ddog2 is not happy if we take DDog1 to the vet without her. You’ve made me think,
