Dog cocking its leg

I'm not sure if its just me being a bit unreasonable really. I live down a lane, the front of my house (as in next to the path) is all hedge with a small gate 1 foot inside the boundary that leads to my front door, I have 2 small children and 2 dogs, so when we go out walking etc we always use this gate. A neighbour from down the road has a small dog that he walks past my house twice a day, this dog is always on an extension lead but never in control (think jumping around at end of lead having a good old yap for the length of my fence, trying to get at my dogs who ignore it). Right, this morning I caught said dog cocking his leg and weeeing against my gate, as a have said even though its on the outside its still within my boundary, I don't have a problem with dogs weeing on my hedge, its a hedge, but my gate, the one I use to get in and out of my house? I don't know if its just me that thinks this is rude, I wouldn't let my dogs do it or am I really being a bit precious. Need some opinions before I "have a word" he's not a particularly nice man.....

next time he does it go out with a bucket of bleach just as he passes and he will get the message
, Im not sure if there is anything you can do about dogs weeing on your fence except asking him not to let his dog pee there

I think its fine to ask - my dog cocks his leg, hedges to me are fair game, but i'm very careful around peoples houes, gardens , in front of our butchers (which is on a country lane and pot plants.

However if he is not a nice man, I wouldn't expect a nice response.....
