As above - post a pic on your profile, others to name the breed/s.

If you know from previous threads what they are, don't say! As a starter for 10, I've put some pictures of ddog :) No prizes for guessing that he is a bit of a mixture . . . but what???

Ooh forgot about this thread! Mine's a border collie x toy poodle!

Rattus, the last picture of your two together, well I appear to have dust in my eyes and it's making them water quite heavily!
Those who guessed on ddog, are right he is indeed a chocolate lab, who seems to be under the impression that he is about the size of a toy poodle, my legs and back disagree!
He also had the classically lab trait of thinking that everyone, be they canine or human, is his friend.
We've mostly got to grips with his enthusiasm for humans, other dogs less so, though he has made some real doggy friends when out and about, which is nice to see!

Mrs you win his dad is an irish setter and his mum is a liver and white english springer spaniel :) he is irish size with springer bone. Oh and hes black as most irsh setters carry a black gene which is dominant if not mated to their own breed ......the things you learn from a kennel mishap !!!

I've not come across any foxhounds here in Notts Alien. There are quite a few weims (I have one) and also greyhounds, lurchers and vizlas. I love all dogs.

Oh I assumed we were looking for a cross - don't know why, lol... I'd probably not have guessed foxhound though, purely because I've never met one.

I was about to ask if he was a foxhound. We have hunt kennels not far from us and i often see them exercising them, it was his eyes that convinced me. He is utterly handsome and if anything like the group i often meet a complete softy.

Ahh, he's lovely! We had a foxhound x border terrier (looked nothing like a foxhound though) and I should've known

Yup 10 points to MrsBungle - he is indeed a foxhound! We have a fair few where we live but I am told that there are not so widespread in other parts of the country. He was a rescue who had 6 homes before he came to us - he has turned into the most wonderful, lovely dog and I wouldn't be without him

Is he a fox hound?

Report
Aliensstolemychildren · 05/04/2013 19:29

No - its a tough one, we have only had two people know what he is although he is a common breed. Think along the lines of hounds

skratta · 05/04/2013 19:28

Umm...is it an Australian Black and Tan?

RattusMcFatus · 05/04/2013 19:22

My mind is boggling, Rattus - obviously a very determined King Charles! It is so sad though all the abandoned and unwanted pups from owners who cba to neuter.

Beagle x hmm.. shepherd?

Aliensstolemychildren · 05/04/2013 19:18

But he't not a beagle - and he's thoroughbred

Report
Aliensstolemychildren · 05/04/2013 19:18

He is about 1.5 meters floor to head - but can scrunch up to the size of a cat to sleep

Rattus - at least it was that way round and not the dad being a ridgeback...and he's very pretty.

Aliens, beagle and um, how big is he?

Report
Aliensstolemychildren · 05/04/2013 19:13

Fixed now - Rattus your dogs are simply gorgeous!

Report
RattusMcFatus · 05/04/2013 19:11

Haha! Nice try but nope. Mum was a Ridgeback and dad a......... King Charles Spaniel!!!!!!!

I find it both amusing and disturbing. He was part of an 'unplanned' litter (idiots who owned m+d obv didnt bother to neuter). Pups were all handed to DT who insisted mum was neuered(thak goodness).
My boy got a home but was given back after 5yrs because he had issuesHmm. I have yet to see any of these so called 'issues'. He is however quite a nervous boy, often cowering at the slightest sign of displeasure in you voice, body language, or your face so goodness knows what happend in his last home. He is such a soppy happy chap and everyone who meets him coments on how friendly and loving he is.
