Do you prefer Mark Lamarr or Simon Amstell?

Sigh edam
I am always envious of you and your BB connections
That and the Sir Nigel Gresley

Oh, I saw Lamarr in Edinburgh once, he actually kept some irritating sozzled hecklers in detention during the interval. I thought he was joking but when we came back from the bar he was still ranting at them. Enjoyed that as they had been at the same shows as us all day and ruined every one.

I do like Mark Lamarr but he had clearly got really fed up with it, cross and irritated by the end. Like a schoolkid who had been kept in for detention or something.

Amstell has grown on me - I like the way he gets away with saying such outrageous things because he looks so cherubic.

Bill Bailey is lovely, hugely talented. My claim to fame is that I used to work with him years and years ago, in fringe theatre. He always stole the show. Quite rightly!

"Mark's stringy cuntry music ties used to really get on my tits" lolol

oh VS, that is where I first realised Noel Fielding was amusing and curiously attractive!

Ever since I saw noel with russell brand on the big fat quiz of the year last year I have loved him. I'm not too keen on the mighty boosh but as a personality I really like him.

Hard work and high-maintenance, I'd say. I think to be the sort of person that has no fear in going for the jugular, one must possess bucket-loads of arrogance, too.

Noel has grown on me hugely since being on Buzzcocks

I didnt actually like her til that show.
Simon was great though, wonderful infact. I miss Noel Fielding but I can't do without bill bailey if only we could have three team captains!

I kind of like people who get to the point
THough if you ever meet one in rl who knows instinctively how to go for the jugular and gets away with it by being attractive, oh boy, it is not nice
I imagine he is hard work in rl

Yes, precisely the line I was thinking of!

He is spot-on, you have to say.

Definitely not auto-cued though, and not sweet... concerned, maybe?

Ha, yes, when he was telling her 'this is no longer a quiz show, it is an intervention'
Probably one of my favourite buzzcocks I think.

I just cannot see him as sweet, sorry!

He is vicious off-autocue...

But does get very precisely to the point. Did you see him with Amy Winehouse?

Vicious lol, he is reading an autocue. He just gets away with it better than Mark because he is sweet.
Though wasn't him that made Britney cry?? on popworld.

at all these people saying Simon is 'lovely', want to take him home etc...

He is vicious! (V. funny though)

I still can't make up my mind, I think they are both as good as each other really.

I agree with UQD, mark lammarr was a tosser tbh, whereas simon amstell is the kind of person I want to bring home and sit on my mantlepiece and feed him marshmallows.

Report
yulemoonfiend · 21/12/2007 16:15

do you know, I was horrified when Mark left and vowed it would never be the same. But Simon has grown on me. I thought he and Ronsen were very amusing last night. (But lay offa Bill Bailey. I heart him)
