Did anyone watch? Wondering what others thought of tonight's show. It was all a bit... odd. There wasn't much conversation. Just the 3 guests all ... I don't know... loving each other!

Thought Patrick Stewart came across lovely. He really is handsome- never noticed that before!

I don't know... it just seemed a bit like it never really started or something. They were all too busy telling how much they loved and admired each other!

I know Kirkaldy is not that hard to say

Ah yes if it was heavily edited then it would have added to the disjointed feel.

Ian Mc had just been at my old school and was still wearing the school tie. Shame he couldn't pronounce the town... 😳

It was a complete luvvie fest, but I loved it.

Patrick Stewart's circumcision story was v funny.

I really cringed and had to flick channels now and then as i refuse to sit behind the couch, fingers in ears going "la,la,la..." now i'm an adult. It was such a live in and HJ is such an over eager, besotted puppy.

I really enjoyed it. I love it when guests get into it and seem like they are enjoying it too. I agree that there should be more women. Love Graham though.

Ooh inside scoop from Oneofmychins!
That is interesting that it was edited so much - probably gave it the disjointed feel. And very funny that so much of what Sir Ian was looking libellous! I can only imagine!!!

Yes I thought so too. Put me in mind of the gossip threads.

Oneof, funny thing was I'd agreed (reluctantly) to go with a friend to taping of Loose Women (which I've never watched but she liked), we didn't get in so she was offered tickets for 4 to another show and she chose GN. I was SO pleased! Would have loved your show though - and agree with cringy keyboard playing!

bagel I'm very jealous of your zoo lander episode! Tbh they were all slightly lovey but it did seem totally genuine and some of the anecdotes with Patrick and sir Ian were very funny but for whatever reason were cut from the show making it slightly disjointed in the final edit. James Blunt was very very funny but his song and pretend keyboard playing were slightly cringe for me ( he also did 2 takes) I think because he was quite sweaty in the first 😀

Written by Jack Rosenthal.

Yes it is and with my obsession with DPRK, it seemed to fit!

Thanks Pyong :)

(As an aside, I do love your name - I presume a homage to Ptang Yang Kipperbang, a school film made some time in the 1980s that involved kids from the school I was at...)

I loved it! I don't mind a bit of a luvvoe love-on when it's people of such high-calibre. It's well known that McKellen and Stewart have a wonderful friendship and Hugh Jackman obviously knows them v well from the franchise. James Blunt is hilarious on Twitter, he really takes the piss out of himself and has great responses to insulting tweets, really good.

I agree that Matt Damon/Bonneville/Murray was probably the best ever show though!!

So jealous of you, Oneof, being in the audience. I was at the Zoolander 2 cast "episode" of the show. Was good fun and highlight was Elton John singing (he had to do it twice!). Sounds like you had a great time!

Thumb Martin Freeman, who I have decided is a dick!

The way that PS said that he was done because of HJ being done, and HJ's reaction to that was just lovely and felt very genuine.

Oooo - can't wait to see it when it airs over here (Aus)!
Last night's offering was the Christmas show with Dame Helen Mirren, Will Smith and Katie Melua, plus a young actress whose name I haven't yet memorised (dolt that I am). Really good show though, I love Will Smith and Helen Mirren! Oh yes, and him off the Office and Sherlock, the HObbit, what's his name, Martin thingy - he was on it too.

I do love Graham Norton's shows, they're excellent and he gets such good guests! Expect I'll have to wait about 6 weeks to see this one though :(

PS lives near us. I bumped into him on the steps of our village shop recently. Cue very posh sycophantic neighbour doing the whole "Patrick, daaaahling" routine. Grin
