Just watched both the new episodes. I watched the last series too. I love it. They are all so cute. I loved little Layton and Enzo and Taysia is just adorable too. I could watch this all day.

When Taysia introduced herself with, "I'm from Wales but doesn't mean that I am a whale, does it?" I actually cried a bit. not broody at all

I like the programme too but I don't understand why there's so much emphasis on "winning" teams and "leaders" of teams. I guess it's to see how children react when they are not "winning" or not "leaders." I think the "eat it now and no more, or save it and get another piece of chocolate" is interesting but I absolutely disapprove of the whole group being penalised if one child eats the chocolate. That seems to be setting the child who ate the chocolate to be the "baddie" of the group and that's very tough for a 4 year old.

In the last series they gave every child except 2 a really nice present, all wrapped in pretty paper - a bubble machine and 2 children got some old spoon or something. I was interesting because the little girl that got the crap present just looked a bit perplexed whereas the little boy was heartbroken and took himself off to sob uncontrollably. OK they both got the bubble machine later but I can't see the point of leaving it so long - if they wanted to see how they reacted, surely a couple of minutes would do it - it seemed ages that the little boy was crying. And what are they going to do with this information - is it part of some research or just entertainment.

I'm amazed that people think the teachers are so good - I disagree - Kate's OK I suppose but I hated the way she looked last night at the child with the speech impediment. I doubt the child noticed but it was just so unnecessary, and the bloke hardly says anything, and is a bit of a spare part.

I think some of these team activities (building a vehicle) and choosing a leader would be more suited to 7 year olds - far too complicated for 4 year olds.

Having said all that I love the programme! And Enzo - what can you say - that boy will go far......................

Oh I just remember I thought Orla (sp?) was very clever with Layton - O - "knock knock" L: "Whose there" O "Layton" L "Layton who?" O - "Layton whose loved by Orla."................wow super smart girl which such sophisticated use of language and getting her message across.

Layton really reminded me of Tim Peake, if someone said that he was him as a child I'd totally believe it!

Not as interested in the 5 year old show next week, so don't think I'll tune in but I love seeing how the 4 year olds work everything out.

Oh no, is that it for the four year olds? Sad

I'm afraid so! I will still watch the five year olds, but agreed it's not quite the same.

Magic I agree about the teacher looking at the little boy with the speech impediment in an unusual way - I was quite surprised. I hope that he didn't notice.

Totally disagree the tasks are too difficult. Too many people underestimate 4 year olds.
