Ive not managed to watch the last episode yet , but i think this series has been one of the better ones for the slower start . . . . Unless its taken a massive nose dive in last episode !

Just watched Friday's episode and I thought it was brilliant. Really scary.

I am really enjoying this new season! Feels much more cohesive- latter seasons have tried to do too much and felt unresolved but they have kept it simple this time and I think it's working well. I'd also say this season is one of the scariest- much more suspenseful.

Ive been really disappointed with this season, I've enjoyed all the previous seasons (witches and hotel ive rewatched), but this is just boring and ...kind of drab? Wheres the passion, the shock, the twists?

I am quite liking this now, think it might be one of the better series (though obviously still not as good as the first two, Murder House and the brilliant Asylum, but so much better than 'Hotel'). I like the twist and wondering where they could go with this. And 'The Butcher' running amok down Hollywood Boulevard was hilarious!

Sarah Paulson's English accent as the British actress playing Shelby was miles better than Kathy Bates's, if a bit overprecise and Mary Poppins-ish. The character doesn't seem very sympathetic though, so I don't care if she gets the chop next!

But why did they have to tell us that only one would survive? - kind of takes away the suspense. I suspect there may be more twists coming.

I can see what they've done and why, but as said upthread, I think there are too many episodes per season. The first part of this series could easily have been sandwiched into 3 episodes.

I love how much the series regulars throw themselves into the different characters. They seem to be having a lot of fun (Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters & Kathy Bates especially).

Catching up on ep 5 and have to say, I'm rather enjoying Evan Peters hamming it up.

Kathy Bates' Yorkshire accent is still shite though (and I say that as a resident of a place in Yorkshire where the accent hasn't changed much in centuries, probably).

Lady Gaga's accent was weird as well, didn't she say her character was English (or should it be Welsh, as she mentioned druids) but the accent she was doing sounded more like French or something, definitely nothing British.

Hmm not quite sure what to make of this series yet.

Agree that Kathy Bates (and the actor playing her son) need to sort their accents out! It's supposed to be Yorkshire? It gives quite a strange effect, because some words are spot on and then the next word will veer off into the most bizarre vowel sounds. I really like her as an actress, but FGS, all she had to do was insist on a good dialect coach, or even just listen carefully to Sean Bean in GoT!
