don't know Ken I hate true crime stories! and don't want to go off him just when im developing a wee crush. hate fave actors playing killers and stuff (yes I know hes only acting but you know what I mean....don't you?)

Are you all tuning in to the widower ?

This is brilliant, can't believed we've missed it. Seen 1&2 looking forward to the rest. Loved Sardines.

Greenshadow I agree. The silent one was my favourite,

Then Sardines.

Then the tramp one.

Then the dressing room one.

Then the mischief demon one.

Then the balloon one.

I think.

The were all totally compelling, RS and SP are amazing actors and writers...I would have preferred more satisfying endings but I gather that they wanted ambiguous/horrifying Twilight-Zone-type endings.

Sardines just edged it for me. The writing was fantastically precise and the sudden downturn at the end really cleverly done

Oh yes. Thank you.

4th one was the balloon

I agree with most of you that the Silent one was my favourite, closely followed by Sardines.

I'm trying to remember what the 4th one was. Third was the tramp but then what?

Just watched the last episode. Shit scary , the bit with the epidural was just horrible.
The first one was my fave just for the characters and then the silent movie one. But all excellent in their own way.

yep, good theyre doing a second series. will miss it.,

My fave was the silent one too, and the dressing room one.

I thought the last one had some great comic bits to be fair but the second half was terrifying indeed. That ending when he was coming towards her was bloody chilling! Looking forward to the next series, always good to champion something original and not run of the mill.

I thought the whole series was brilliant until the last one, just creepy and weird. If that had been the first episode I wouldn't have watched the rest of them so I suppose it was good it was last!

I liked the silent burglars one the best 'is your phone on silent?' Grin

okay, you're not going to believe this but its absolutely true

Tues night I had a nightmare that a Gollum like man crawled onto my bed and I could feel the weight of him on my bed coming towards me and hissing ''mischief, mischief''!and just as he grabbed me (I was trying to scream but couldn't find my voice) I woke up in a cold sweat!

I sleep alone so was well scared. forwards to wed night. im watching number 9 and as soon as the girls pulled back the curtain on the bed and saw the ,an there I broke again into a cold sweat (was watching through my hands too!) and when he said 'mischief'....well!!! Id never seen this, was brand new.

how weird is that?
couldn't watch the end, it was late and I was scared in bed. what happened? she didn't get away?

I freaked my husband out this morning by skipping down the stairs singing 'I danced in the morning when the world was begun . . . '

Yes I was waiting for the twist that never came. Properly frightening - I had quite a disturbing dream actually.

Mischief!

Shock

I had to watch from behind my hands! And dh thought it would be hilarious to follow me up to bed whispering "mischief, mischief"

But I agree there were actually some quite funny bits and it kept me hooked right to the end (which was ever so slightly disappointing, like the balloon ending was last week).

winterkills · 12/03/2014 23:08

Omg that was horrible - more like their old stuff that I avoided because it made me feel queasy. Shame they lost the balance right on the last show.

Seriously regretting recommending it to everyone at work now, I'm going to be in trouble tomorrow!

Jesus that was terrifying, I was actually proper scared!

KerryKatonasKhakis · 12/03/2014 22:37

Eh? What? Argh!

I kept waiting for the twist and for her to get away but that was just terrifying!!

It was really disturbing at the end! lots of good jokes and atmosphere, though!

Ask them how they did the cat!

Will miss this series. The endings weren't always totally satisfying, but I think that's what they were after.

Love, love, loved the first three.

The balloon one was great all the way through but the ending was disappointing.

The Macbeth was good...the performances were just amazing. Yes Ken he was very Keith Drop wasn't he with that theatrical accent! Steve's drunken bit reminded me a bit of Pop the horrible landlord Grin

The ending wasn't as strong as the earlier ones but it's still out-classing everything else on TV at the moment for me.

I was obsessed with LoG but I think Psychoville was definitely on a par with it. The Mr. Jelly character and Mrs. Ladybird Face needs their own show!

Any fans of Reece Shearsmith (and Vic and Bob) who haven't seen Catterick yet, need to watch it ASAP. It's my favourite comedy series ever but seems to have just been forgotten by the BBC- the never repeat it. It's quite cheap on DVD, though. It got me through early labour Grin

Oh god you have to watch that and then Psychoville. Inside Number 9 originates from episode 4 of the first series of Psychoville where they did a one room episode. Fantastic .
