Firstly - don't you just love it? I can watch it again and again and it always makes me laugh. Earlier we had Bryn saying "Fee Fi Fo Fum" and then "Joking, I am - I'm not really a giant".

Secondly - why is Owain Hughes funny?

Thirdly - Ness was nearly in All Saints, drove trucks for Eddie Stobart, worked in Bollywood and nannied for Richard and Judy. What else?

I love all the bits everyone else has mentioned and Pamelaaaa is my favourite character but then I could watch Alison Steadman in anything.

I also loved Sheridan Smith as Smithys sister the bit where Gavin and Stacey go round and Smithy and his sister start fighting like a pair of 5 year olds rolling around on the floor and Gavin says ' they're always like this'.

Re Gavin and Stacey being the least favourite characters I saw an interview with Ruth Jones and James Corden and they said they specifically set put to write a sitcom where the most interesting or sympathetic characters were not the best looking ones.

I watched the whole third series last night, it was beautiful! I laughed and cried my way through it. The beach episode is just brilliant, but that bit at the end when Gavin and Stacey are in the kitchen talking about looking into adoption/IVF and she gives him a hug and says "It's ever so sad, isn't it?" Made me sob like a baby!

And Nessa's wedding day when she turns to Gwen and tells her she's been like a mum to her. Sob!

Yes! I absolutely love it!

Bryns a legend :o "I only went in for a Nano!" and "Oh no Pam, I'm not even talcumed!" are regular quotes in our house

The bit when Nessa is in labour and she says "sing to me Bryn" and he sings "There's no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard" makes me cry with laughter

When Pam and Gwen are taking about Jason and Pam says she would have loved a gay son for 'fashion advice and emotional support' then Gwen tells her Jason lights up the room to which Pam replies 'like a little Will Young' haha Smile

The scene where they turn up to Pam and Micks and Pam has just got back from shopping yet doesn't want them to know that that's what she has done.

or when she is stuffing her face with meat while pretending to be vegetarian

I think Smithy and Nessa were my favourite. Nessa and her stories Grin and how her family sit there like its totally normal what she has done.

I love that scene in the chemist when they're having their stare out and someone comes along and says to the chemist woman 'Scuse me love, where's your fake tan?' Just a simple line but makes me absolutely piss myself every time!

The out staring in the chemist is genius. "Hang on Gav"

I was inspired by this thread to watch the whole of series 2 on DVD last night - I was up until 2am watching it, but it was well worth it!

I'd forgotten all about Gavin and Smithy falling over in the hospital - hilarious!

Also the bit where Pam is trying to get Mick to tidy up before Stacey comes to visit - "Michael, you are being a right sarky bastard today!" Really made me laugh.

I agree that Stacey can be a bit spoilt and irritating, but also think Gav was horrible to her when she was feeling homesick. In fact, I think Gavin and Stacey are the two least likeable characters in the programme!

Its the toilet scene in the Italian Restaurant when everyone but Smithy and Bryn know Nessa is pregnant. And while they are there Pete and Dawn are meeting a man for a 3sum which doesn't work out!

Aww love G and S, I always thought little baby Neil was a really gorgeous baby as well. Used to find myself staring at his lovely little face whenever he was on screen.

Pete and Dawn's wedding renewal, and the curry episode were stand outs for me. Also loved the scene in the first series when the vicar shouts at Gavin in the church.

I love the bit where Pam is gingerly approaching Pete's mum with a rolled up magazine, once she's been discovered behind the bar... like she's going to swat her like a fly!

"Charles!" "My Camilla!"

the owain hughes joke is that the sound 'hughes' 'hews' means smells/stinks in welsh.

therefore I'm Owain Hughes (stinks) and before you ask... no i don't!

Love Stacey in the first series but could seriously punch her in series two, especially the bit where Gwen offers her bedroom to Nessa and she throws a pathetic wee strop Hmm

Feel sorry for her being homesick though. Must say the one magical thing about this series is how JC and RJ have made it so realistic yet so watchable and funny iyswim?

I always cry at the episode where they've separated and she's at bingo, he's at the foam party and they run out to phone each other...

'We're going to be all right aren't we?'

'Of course we are! Of course we are!'

Sad
