Last weeks break proper pissed me off, but is anyone else nervous about this weeks episode? Edmure's wedding is so huge in the books, and the penultimate episode has always been the big one, I know I will cry.

Finally finished it Hmm

Not cool at all!!

Such great baddies on this show and I did think it weird how nice and familiar Bolton was with jaime a few weeks back.

Can't wait until next week!!

Figgy, reading iyt is different to seeing it, trust me, you've not ruined it. I've been waiting for this for years now, and it was still a punch in the gut.

Euron has the dragon horn, yes, and of course, gives it to Victarion. Both Euron and Victarion burn loads of people alive. Hopefully someone or something will kill both of them and Ramsay off.

I remember one of them has the dragon horn thing, Is Euron the one who burnt a ship full of people. I think they might be in Quiathes prophecy too although I can't remember what exactly.
I would like Ramsey to kill Roose or Roose to kill Ramsey - one of the 2. I am off to charge my kindle, have re read the first 2 books so will start again on the 3rd.

They are dire, well, Euron is the worse of the two. He's the one-eyed octopus of the red priest Morro's prediciton - sailing on a sea of blood.

I really have to re read the books, I haven't got a clue what's going on with Euron and Victarion. I do remember them being nasty Bastards though

I hope the 2 Ramseys go in the next book.

Tyrion is sweet enough, though, in the books.

There's that part where the light starts coming on for poor Sansa, when she's with her aunt Lysa, who questions Sansa about her marriage and Sansa thinks, 'He was kind,' and then of course later comes to feel she'd rather be married to Tyrion than the alternatives.

Yeah I will do :)

I think its possibly a surprise to Peter Dinklage that he is now a sex icon! Grin remember reading an interview in which he thought the interviewer was joking when they said how women found him very attractive as Tyrion.

God he is though... and heart meltingly sweet!

Ramsay, Euron and Victarion are all completely awful, with Euron being even worse than Victarion. Roose is bad, too, and still alive.

Yes they have left out a lot of the horrible things especially the things that happen to the "common folk" or those that are not main characters.

Its worth another go, katykuns The first series pretty much follows the book, goes off a bit in series 2.

I started reading after watching the series so Tyrion will always be Peter Dinklage to me, like expat says though he is not meant to be as good looking in the books.

You're welcome Arty Smile

I think Book 3 is the worst. you've got red wedding, purple wedding, Oberyn vs the Mountain (that ending!) it's just a whole bunch of no no no no aiiiiiii.....

Although Ramsay is a sick fuck and that whole storyline is just so wrong

Yep, robb and jon were 15 and dany was 13. When khal drogo dies, his khalassar rape all the "lamb" girls.

Both Brienne and Tyrion are FAR less attractive in the books. Wink

Every episode has made me wonder whether I should read the books... I started book 1 after the first series, but I found it difficult because I had already the tv characters in place of the ones I would usually picture in my head. Think I will give it another go, because I desperately want to read the stuff going on in people's heads!

That and the fact I need more JaimexBrienne... swoon

They left out a lot of the horrible things mentioned by the man who sold Daenerys the Unsullied as well, what goes on in the so-called fighting pits especially. Missandei in the book is an 11-year-old child, 3 of her brothers were enslaved to become Unsullied, Sansa is 12 when married to Tyrion, Alyse Karstark was about to be forced to be married to a half-uncle when she ran away to the Wall, both Daenrys's surviving handmaids were regularly raped by men in Khal Drogo's khalasar, on and on.

Actually, the RW is a turning point, if only because that's it, all bets are off. Anyone can and will be slaughtered, noone is safe. Its like being finding out that santa, the tooth fairy and easter bunny don't exist, but the boogey man does.

Expat, no not yet. It was brutal, I know there's worse to come, but it was really horrible to see it bought to life like that.

It is awful expat the stories of Kiera and the other poor women / girls that were tortured by the Bastard of Bolton really stay with me.

I am glad its not just me who struggled with book 4, I really had to push myself to get through it and I probably missed lots. Will have to give it another go.
