yes its the though of them doing something different and not true or factual that im a bit meh about.

im sure it will be good, its just were so used to seeing the cast AS the HH lot.

you know, Mat IS Charles ll, Ben IS Henry Vlll etc etc.

for me personally ive typecasted them!

Agree Game,

I know a lot of hardcore fans are really looking forward to it, but it's the format and content of HH that I like, not just the cast.

Does it have songs does anyone know?

(The fact that we can't receive Sky has got nothing to do with it)

Oh that was fab, just watched Finale, got all teary.
I just want to sit here and watch all my favourite bits of HH rather than unpack the suitcases.
We should have a best song of all 5 series poll, but I doubt I could decide, there are just too many brilliant ones.

They seem to write songs for Martha in a particularly duff way, shoehorning a lot of non-scanning lyrics in to make rhymes - I think she does pretty well with them, considering! Although I liked the Joan of Arc on much more on second hearing this afternoon, the lyrics were better than I remembered.

I think Alexander came out high on account of Ben in a skirt. BEN! Henry VIII will never be 'just a fat king' again to me. (murmble murmble murmble)

My vote should tip the balance to the Dickens song. I haven't seen Finale yet though. I'm very curious about it now.

Results of most popular song poll are out!
45 people submitted their favourites.

There was a tie at the top with 10 people each preferring both the Charles Dickens song and the Finale, then a big jump down to 5 favouring Alexander (bit of a surprise), 4 for Owain Glyndwr, 3 for Rosa Parkes, Vikings and Norman Family Tree. Only two people liked Marcus Licinius Crassus, Joan of Arc and Transport Pioneers best, one person went for Henry VII and no one chose Australia.

At the bottom, 14 people liked Joan of Arc least, closely followed by 12 for Australia. After that it was a fairly even split with all song receiving between one and four votes for least liked apart from Charles Dickens which not one single person liked least.

Looking at it another way, if you add all the preferences together, i.e. the average rating for each song, then the Finale stands out as most popular followed by Owain Glyndwr (which had a lot of second place votes), Dickens (which had quite a few low marks) and the Viking Song. Joan of Arc and Australia still unfortunately came last.

REALLY???? Joans was up around the middle for us, and the finale i think was the least, with australia the next to last, even though i thought it was a clever spoof but i cant stand Kylie!!
