I wanted Lauren to win although I really didn't like her last dress. She was far more creative than Ann who was actually terribly competitive I thought.
Expat, I didn't pick up any nasty traits from Tilly. She seemed perfectly nice and quite quirky.

All of them knew dressmaking, but Ann knew a bit about tailoring as well. I wouldn't be surprised if she hasn't done a course in it at some stage. My Mum is a trained seamstress and the way she sets about tasks is very similar to the way Ann works. Sandra and Lauren seemed to be of the 'picked up dressmaking from my mum' school. Not that there is anything wrong with that!

I think Ann deserved to win.

I have to say i liked Lauren's dress the best

Maybe she was creatively edited but there were a load of shots of Lauren looking devastated whenever any of the others were praised. Not an attractive trait.

Agree 100% with expat. And I wouldn't be too convinced by the apparent dirty looks and sidelong glowering.....I reckon there was a lot of creative editing going on in that final.

Ann was the worthy winner and Lauren's constant blubbing did not make me warm to her

Well, it was a sewing competition Wink

Lauren simpered and cried too much. I wanted to slap her.

Lady Isabella your right you could tell Ann didn't like to lose also she didn't know where to put herself when Lauren had that little breakdown ooh she's formidable indeed.
Still she was a most deserving winner
I also fell a bit in love with Claudia I didn't used to care much for her til I watched this show.

Ann struck me as ruthlessly competitive. She was genteelly furious when Lauren won the child's dress challenge because her straps were thinner. Clearly she knew she was the best sewer there, (how could she not know?) and that showed. However, there are worse things in the world than a desire to win a sewing competition, and I thought she was good telly and obviously the right winner.

I adored Sandra, even though I hated her taste and wouldn't wear any of her creations if you paid me. She was just such a lovely person. I liked her teasing Claudia for using technical terms.

'Yesbut- couldn't agree with you more I feel the beeb might be slightly ageist and bake off Brendan was amazing and a legend and was robbed.'

They are totally ageist! It was so obvious they favoured Lauren, all the shots of her face and hands. YY, Brendan was robbed and Dany, too, both older.

SO pleased to see the judges chose the truly most talented person, Ann.

She was so lovely about it, too. Class, just pure class she is.

Anne totally deserved to win. I think they wanted Lauren to win - just like in Bake Off they wanted a younger person to win over Brendan who was probably the most reliable of bakers. Here though it was obvious Lauren just wasn't in the same league - her dress was really wonky at the back. Sandra's dress was too simple for a final but loved her bag. Great series!

Yeah Tilly didn't come across well and Lauren just cried all the time Sandra would be a good laugh on a night out I reckon.I need an Ann in my life.

I think Tilly was a conceited little mare and Stuart a far better designer.

I love it. Really good. I liked all three finalists and I LOVED the information they gave us about what they're all doing now - following their dreams, it's nice :)

And I think Tilly was a great designer, just not such a great sewer (and not under time pressure).

Lauren's dress was ugly, too.

I think Ann deserved it but I was disappointed that her evening dress was short. It would have been even more fabulous if it had been long. Not that I'm a worthy critic!

Hell, yeah, I'm still making soy candles! Are you doing reeds the bamboo skewer, oil, voddy and essential oil way? :)

Lauren is matey with Tilly. Says it all, really. Tilly's an annoying silly little biatch.

The camera was never off Lauren last night if she won I was going to get mediaeval on the BBCs ass! Ann was a total legend I love her I especially loved the fact she pronounced elastic ELARSTIC legend.

Yay, was thrilled Ann won, I really enjoyed this series even though I cant sew (I would love too though). Hopefully they`ll make next series a little longer.

That was the right result. Smile. Ann was amazing. All the finalists seemed like lovely women. I loved Ann's dress, it was so classic and beautifully executed.

The absolute best bit about this series was Sandra's accent. I want to be her friend just so I can listen to her all day long.

I hope the next series is a little longer.

Ann had it in the (tastefully embroidered) bag from the off today.

Need to get out my sewing machine. I made loads of clothes for the DC when they were younger and I was a SAHM...

My mum is fabulous at dressmaking. She made me four ball dresses when I was at college, and my wedding dress, bridesmaid's dress and DH's waistcoat when we got married. She would have aced the last challenge today!
