He was in the same room but had head stuck in book. Maybe next week he'll dare to look at the screen..I find it totally fascinating, but taking mental notes too and so wishing our hosp has similar room with all the same active labour gadgetry.

I also watched it when pg with DS, olympic. I made DH watch it too so he could have an idea about what was coming. That was actually quite useful, he found so too.

makes me feel broody too.

I am Olympicvibes!
No comment on whether its sane or not. I keep trying to get DH to watch it so he knows what to expect but he's not having it!

Just blubbed eyes out watching 4+1. Is it sane to watch OBEM while pregnant with first?!

I want another one. Bollocks. I thought I was over babies. DP wants a third and now I think I do too!

I'm not sure how it is possible to get broody watching OBEM while running up and down the stairs hissing "shhhhhh you little bugger" at DS2 who keeps standing up in his cot going "waaaaabababababaBA!"

Maybe I could just have a loan of a little squishy new one for a while....

Thanks Ruby and Blondie
I guess if you prepare for the worst it's liable to be better, right?! :-)

Scuba YY, what Ruby said, FWIW I watched OBEM while pg with DD and psyched myself up for the worst... actually I had a 12 hour labour on gas and air! They tend to show the unusual/interesting births and family set ups.

Scuba you'll be fine, honestly. you just get on with. you'll be bricking it like the rest of us but you remember what its all for and its so worth it.

I shouldn't be watching - firstly I've sobbed my heart out and secondly, at 10+3 with DC1 I'm wondering what the fucking hell I'm going to do in 29 weeks time :-|
I hope I'm braver than I think I am - I don't want the epidural but I bet I'm asking for it with BH!

I cried like a little girl when my grandson was born. It only felt like yesterday that I had his mum.
