Seen a couple of trailers for this and it makes my tummy churn with a kind of horrible fascination. Is it acceptable to do this to a person do we think? I know they have signed up at some degree at some point, but surely it could seriously, seriously fuck you up?? Here is the

I watched it and thought it was good, however I'm not convinced. I think Derren Brown knows a lot of good actors.

there was mention of Derren posting on youtube and Twitter along with Wizzard of Oz references on the other thread.

I tuned in to watch because I wanted it to be good. I was bitterly disappointed Sad. At the very least they should have picked a better actor.

I didn't watch it. I was just hugely gratified to see people who were saying how rubbish it was.

Spanishfly, whilst I haven't been a victim of an asteroid strike I've been in many hostile environments often after terrible events. How Steve reacted at first dud seem real, the stunned boggle eyed look especially so, but he didn't progress on from that and usually people do start asking questions. It's natural to want to make sense of a situation way out of your normal experience.

That said I did enjoy it, will tune in next week too.

SpanishFly · 27/10/2012 14:33

And how do you all know how you'd react in that situation? :)

I don't get why all of you who think he's "a cnut" all tuned in to watch. Hmm

I enjoyed it.

Grin

Interestingly Steve Brosnon's twitter feed is blocked, but his brothers (Barry) is open. Barry has had quite a good career...and they both went to a stage school.

28 Days Later was more believable!

'Methinks Derren is having us on. '

REALLY?

I told you it would be shite. Smile

Needtosleep, I don't think he is a talented actor Gin

Thanks Bof, I love a good spoiler me Grin I'm never patient enough to wait for the big reveal. I do think his reactions are odd. Ok at first you're a bit "rabbit-in-the-headlights" but then the adrenaline will kick in and you'd be flooded with questions. Why hasn't he asked Ian, the paramedic about the disease? Even if you'd heard it on the tv you'd be asking a real person, especially one with a medical background, to explain it all again. Just so you can process it.

Plus Steve isn't shaking. When that much adrenaline hits your system you get the most insane shakes. Yet when he held the note his family left him he was steady handed. He just doesn't look that freaked out by it.

BOF, I don't think that proves anything tbh, my OH was a runner and extra for the Adam and Joe show and I have friends that work on other shows but they are by no means talented actors.

That was to headfairy. I was trying not to spell it out in case people wanted to enjoy the show without knowing, MrsJR.

No, but he is on the fringes of a profession which would make him suitable for selection to take part, iyswim.

Bit thick, do you mean filming for thing means Steve is an actor?

Report
headfairy · 26/10/2012 23:02

Bof, does that mean Steve is a fake person?
