I'm sure this has been asked before but I couldn't find it on MN; any good experiences with jobs websites for 16yo that I can point dd at?. There is the .gov site for apprenticeships, and I know Gumtree, but beyond that there are millions of jobs sites and have no idea which is worth looking on.

Get a CV together and take it around the local shops, cafes etc.
Indeed is a good site and worth looking at local college websites for apprenticships. Glass Door is a site I've found recently might be worth a look?

If it is Apprenticeships that your son is interested in try worksforme.co.uk. It has a variety of Traineeships, Apprenticeships etc.

Also a good app available on smart phones is the Telegraph Apprenticeship app.

I agree, ask in local businesses. My 16 yr old has just got a Saturday job in a bike shop. That was by just asking inside

Look in your local area first eg shops, restaurants, local companies, local newspaper
In my area local companies put notices on the window or on noticeboard inside or outside premises

At 16 he will need to walk, cycle or use local transport
