Aren't they lush?

See, I think I need new boots.

I am supposed to only get a pair every other year. Cannot recall if i bought any last year

Have a pair of knee-high pull-on flat boots but they are very battered. Wear them with long skirt.

Also high-heeled short boots with trousers.

But what do I really need? What are you all wearing these boots with?

(Like others, I have big fat calves, so struggle as a rule with higher boots)

I have been eyeing them up on Amazon for days. Blue or brown I can't choose...

I dunno if they will this yr, but last yr BHS had some fab thick, coloured tights that actually fit

I got some plum woolly tights that were long enough for my giraffe legs and they are still going strong

will have to dig them out from the bottom of my sock drawer soon

Believe it or not, BHS has loads of nice knee high socks, you could push them down. I saw them today.

bugger. just bought some MORE boots because of this thread and half a bottle of rioja. those fly london MES had better be good, though obviously I did really need yet another pair of boots.

any idea where can i get some nice chunky socks to wear with them so they stick out of the top a bit iyswim (with opaque tights and a dress probably)?

Can't you get them on prescription then?

Shellseeker, I tried the "I need them for my poor back" patter on DH.

He just went .

Mes boots are fine for those of us with, erm, curvier calves .

Songbird - I too am blessed (?!) with large calves and enviously gazed at my friends' lush boot clad calves (in a non-pervy way, clearly!) and then I found Duo boots online and now have some lush boots myself!

Mayornaze your link takes you to this thread.

I don't like any linked but love some I saw the other week. Have demanded instructed DH to buy a lottery ticket to win me the 100 quid I need to buy them

Fly Boots are, IMO, only for those light of calf

I have them in knee length in brown and another pair coming in the post, they are very very comfortable!

BerylCole · 05/09/2009 19:14

What will you wear them with coco?

(I have enormous feet, so would look like Santa in those)

Report
Shellseeker · 05/09/2009 19:14

Love the medical reasoning for buying your boots, Coco!
(though obviously not making light of your bad back)

I have read this thread title loads today and every time I think it says look at y new boobs.

And that was before I had had a glass and a half of wine.

You're all a bunch of cowbags!!! These are my all time favourite boots ever but a) they're too spenny for me, and b) I probably wouldn't be able to fit them over my ridiculously large calves anyway.

Sob!

I only ever wear jeans so the colour won't be too in your face, they are very comfy. I've a bad back and the slight wedge heel really seems to help.

Oh, if anyone does buy from SHoe Envy you can google a 10% off voucher. (I don't work there - just sharing my good fortune, I haven't found these boots cheaper anywhere and I have looked my ass off.)

AnyFucker · 05/09/2009 19:07
