Cleanser for mature skin - recommendations

I'm late 50s and need to overhaul my skincare routine (if you can call it that!)

I had oily skin all my adult life but it's quite dry now and I don't know where to start. I've been recommended Aldi's night cream but would like suggestions for a good cleanser. I have been using micellar water but understand that's not good every day??

On a budget but could stretch for something good and long-lasting.

TIA

I've just turned 60 (gawd) and I love a balm cleanser. Wash it off with a hot flannel

I've got Clinique Take The Day Off balm, but Aldi do a very good one. Also Superdrug do a hot cloth cleanser.

Balm cleansers are great. M&S do a Rose cleansing balm in their Pure range which is easily as good as more expensive versions. I use it in the evening followed by a gel cleanser ( currently using another M&S pure gel cleanser) .
In the morning I just use water or the gel cleanser.

Aldi do lovely vitamin c hot cloth cleanser which is gentle on skin. I'd also recommend Elemis cleansing balm

Kate Somerville Goat Milk cleanser. It’s beautiful. Cleans well but is really gentle and smells lovely - and I usually hate anything smelly.

I use the Marks Pure balm that is mentioned above followed by Cerave Hydrating Cleanser and both are lovely.
