I've had a little look online but not seen one I like yet. Can you help please?

It's for a family holiday in UK where swimming will be essential.

I prefer a one-piece but would consider a tankini.

I'm a small-busted size 10/12 and short.

'Traditional' swimsuits - think Speedo - aren't me, and I also prefer one with a tummy control panel.

Inspire me please! Give me something to look forward to!

Thanks you lovely lot x

I second any Boden recommendations - have had a couple for a few years and they last really well.

The one I have is from Bravissimo.

Following and sorry to hijack but do the BodenSad suitable give good bust support? I'm a 32G/size
10. I have one with an inbuilt bra but feel really frumpy in it. Sad

Swimwear365 - friends have bought bikinis and I’ve bought rash vests and beach stuff. Always found them to have great choice and easy returns policy. As for quality all seems fine so far.

I’ve bought the Boden one recommended up thread. Fingers crossed. Mainly I want one that is not a high cut leg or low cut front.

I swim a lot and can heartily recommend Sainsburys TU range- they really last and are very good value and flattering

I wore it, with shorts... 🙄

I’ve just bought this one from Deakin and Blue. Definitely size up in their costumes though. There was a discount code available if you signed up to the mailing list, so I paid £117. To feel less lumpy in my menopausal body, it was worth the money. I wore, with shorts, it to go paddleboarding the other day, and felt good!

Recommend me a swimsuit please!

@Johnnyboy94609- you’d get better traffic if you start a thread of your own, in chat.

This one’s about swimming costumes Wink.

I agree Boden are best.

It's not ridiculous to want to feel good.

I agree you do feel exposed and I'm desperate to find one I feel comfortable in. Might be pushing 'good' atm but I've lost a stone and hoping for another 1 1/2.

I'm going to look at suggestions here.

Pour moi is lovely but unfortunately didn’t fit me.

I bought one last year from Primark too and it was amazing. So flattering and a brilliant blue colour. It was a bit low cut for my liking so I just stitched it up a bit and it was perfect.

@Kimye4eva - budget is pretty much whatever it takes 😂 I'm hugely looking forward to the holiday and seeing family BUT absolutely HATE being seen in a swimsuit.... there's really nothing wrong with my body, it has the same good and bad bits as everyone else, I just find being so exposed very uncomfortable. So, prepared to pay £££ to feel as good as possible. Ridiculous, I know this.

Some amazing swimsuits have been suggested, thank you so much 😁

You didn’t mention budget OP but I really rate the one pieces from J Crew. They have some with deep Vs and are very supportive. They have some with 15% off at the moment. They do petite too if that helps.

Primark bring out a tummy control, halter neck, backless swimsuit every year. Was a 5er. I have 3 years worth. Absolutely unbelievable on.

I’m short and fairly small busted and found a deep V to be quite flattering - elongates the body.

Something like this also comes in a rusty red colour

Came on to recommend Batoko but been beaten to it! I LOVE mine, so comfortable and flattering. I have had ruched/tummy control cossies in the past and always find I get cold in them sitting on the beach as the fabric doesn't dry very well.

Report
Swimbikerunmummy · 09/04/2021 23:28

Another vote for Batoko here! They are made from plastic waste found in the ocean and the fabric is really supportive. Concur with sizing down.
