Comfortable and cosy clothes for sick days

I'm spending most of my time in bed or other the sofa at the moment as I have ME. In the morning (which is my best time of day) I manage a shower, get DCS out of the house, do the school run then collapse back into bed. Jeans are too restrictive so I've been living in leggings and hoodies. I can't wear pjs out of the house! Any suggestions for nice soft clothes please that won't make me look like a bag lady? I can't manage makeup at present.

My postman gave me a funny look this morning as quite a few parcels are arriving at my house... in my defence, most are ebay bargains!

I was inspired by the Diesel jogg jeans and searched 'jogger jeans' on eBay. Found some White Stuff soft black jogger jeans, new with tags for £8. They are really soft and comfy with a stretchy waistband but look smarter than actual joggers- they look like denim on the outside. Bargain too!

Hush is good for throw on comfy clothes, have a root about in the sale section for some bargains. I bought this dress which is so cozy but looks respectable. It says dry clean only but I put it in the machine in a cool wool wash and it's fine. Their harems and joggers are good as PP said but their ruched skirt might be good as well. And the flannel pyjamas are heaven.

M&s do straight leg joggers which are comfy and can look like casual trousers

The celtic & co wool slouch dresses are nice (but pricey!). The first one I ever bought is my absolute go to in winter for everything, including days at home. They come up on ebay from time to time.

I have some wool wide leg lounge pants from the white co which were great but have finally succumbed to shrinkage.

Beyond that, I have a cotton jumpsuit thing I got in the New Look sale for about a fiver. It's not uber elegant, I'll admit, but (it's got thin straps) with a t shirt underneath it is so incredibly comfortable, was perfect last summer when it was so hot plus I could answer the door in it - we live in the city centre now so it's not just the postie who sees me when I answer the door.

I like slightly too big PJ's and soft cotton tops. Not the most stylish but not too bad if you go for plain colours.

The eBay dungarees arrived- they are nice quality, stitching looks good, quite generous size wise (I'm size 8-10 and got a small). The fabric is quite light and with the linen/ cotton mix they are definitely more spring/ summer so I'm looking forward to putting them on in a couple of months. Not bad for under £7 x

I love wearing oversized men's clothes. I always steal DHs Christmas pjs 😂

I went to cancer research shop yesterday. Everything is under £3 I bought two chunky jumpers in larger sizes and a pair of m and s leggings for £4.

I reeeeeally want the eBay dungarees. I'm living in hope that they're great quality for you!

No problem! Finding nice things to wear is definitely making me feel less shitty about my health and limitations- happy to share. I ordered small. They haven't arrived yet but I will report back I promise.

DH filled a charity bag yesterday with some nearly new jumpers, pyjama bottoms and long sleeve tops. I intercepted them and they are very comfy to wear in the house. Checked pj bottoms with a stretchy long sleeve top (one of mine) or oversized jumper with leggings. Also I just like wearing his stuff 😊

I'm so intrigued by the eBay ones. I've been waiting for your feedback before I bought them. What size did you get?

Sorry to be fangirling your dungaree choices right now. I just have a similar predicament and apparently fashion sense 😂

My dd has just bought those very same dungarees! They're lovely and soft, and I'm pretty sure she'll be getting a summer weight pair too.

I'm 5 ft 1 and size 8-10 but I think I carry them off. Tbh I give zero fucks if anyone doesn't like my dungarees or thinks I look silly in them- they are fabulous Grin

Before I had neighbours it was pyjamas all the way. Now I live in town I wear BAM yoga pants and tops for ¾ of the year.

@peridito that's exactly my fear. Think they look lovely and comfy, but at 5ft nothing and being quite round, I think I'd just look like a dumpling Sad

Can I ask your height notsure ? I'm 5' 2" and guessing I'd just look look like a square blob in these lovely things ...

These are the eBay ones I linked up thread. Look comfy but may require ironing due to linen content, I just realised 😣😂

I bought these dungarees Wobblebot and they have arrived. They are lush but now sold out. No belt for me, just a breton / plain long sleeve cotton top and cardigan over the top. They are in the wash now. EBay ones are still en route.

My Lucy and Yak dungarees arrived today. Very soft and comfortable - I put them on straight away with a breton tee. The corduroy looks new but is fine and soft already. New favourite outfit!!

The first two are a bit directional for me 😊 but I like the third! Maybe next payday!

Next harems are reasonably priced and comfy. I wore them when I had ME as they work well for school run, medical appointments and crashing on sofa and bed.

Good luck and I hope you get well soon. It's a horrible illness but you can and will recover. Flowers

I'm not trendy but like knits! Do you have a pic please to show what a knitted co-Ord is? (Clueless)
