These.

Or are they too... Unweddingy?

I think I'm going to go for the flares. Hopefully I won't have a sweaty crotch!

In like the original trousers and the flares. Both are fine for a wedding.

i'm a trouser person too op, but i would probably be thinking hot crotch at a Monaco wedding, need something to catch the breeze!

I love the flares most if you go trousers, with a black or white fitted top and fab hat.

The first link isnt working nottheOP. I'm scared of jumpsuits anyway so probably wouldn't have gone for that. I'm undecided on the second pair but I'm going to have a good rummage around the coast site so thanks for the idea!

Ohh is the 'no white' rule so you don't get mistaken for the bride?! It makes perfect sense but I never realised it before. I do wish I was a man sometimes. All the men can wear suits which is easy and nobody worries about being mistaken for the groom!

The last pair with a white top is fine. Definitely not the bride in those

They're too worky for me.

Maybe a jumpsuit? m.coast-stores.com/prue-jumpsuit/trousers-&-jumpsuits/coast/fcp-product/1407445?locale=en

Or something like this? m.coast-stores.com/palermo-trouser/trousers-&-jumpsuits/coast/fcp-product/1470765?locale=en

I've worn a cream trouser suit with red top and accessories to a wedding before.

I like the flares! It depends on the wedding a bit but I can see them with a quite simple white or cream top, necklace and funky sandals.

I feel like I'm going to be alone in this but I like these flares.

I'm picturing them with a white top, although I'm not sure if it's bad form to wear a white top to a wedding. Confused

I don't think they're too casual, but the print will make them look like jeans from a distance.

I have been fancying these but worried they won't work on my pear-shaped arse.

Going to depend on the wedding and setting and what the other guests are wearing, but I think - without knowing the answers to those - that they are too casual.
If in doubt, it's always better to head for the 'smarter' end of what you are thinking than the casual end.

I really like that first pic tarnished. The wedding is in France but just outside Monaco I believe.

Another option would be to look for more of a statement top.

High heels and a tailored jacket could give you this dort of silhouette...

I think if you style them right you could make it work.

Where is the wedding?

Far too casual and non-descript.

Yes, they are lovely.

Too casual I think

I think you could, with heels and maybe a smart but slightly quirky jacket.

rockybalboa · 13/06/2015 22:16

Yes with the right top and some fab heels.

Emily Blunt's outfit there is lovely. When I've been googling for ideas I've seen what Amal Alamuddin / Clooney wore to her wedding and I love that too. It's a trouser suit (and yes I'm very behind the times).

Nope. Another person who wears jeans for everyday smart, but wouldn't wear these for a wedding as they're not quite right. They're just too relaxed, even if you dressed them up with a nice jacket.

I think with a bright bag/heels they could work very well.
