Warm gloves artritis suffer

Already my hands are feeling cold and it's only august. Any suggestions to make it a bearable winter max budget £30

any advice would be appreciated, I#d like the gloves that are heated with batteries, thermal gloves/fleece linings/those things that slip into the glove but only warm the palms when heated didnt help.

Ok, well assuming you are like me the first thing is to NOT let your hands or feet get cold if you do then putting gloves on just makes them colder - yes I know that sounds daft to any one else.

Silk or merino gloves under any other type of glove keep you warm.

Cashmere gloves are fab too I have several from this company Gretna green and a few from various sellers on Notonthehighstreet or Etsy. I have collected them over the years and just treat them like an accessory.

Also learn to embrace mittens! Put silk or merino gloves on (or even two pairs them great warm lovely patterned mittens over the top.

Other things to do genuinely help as daft as it is sounds LAYERS eg I always wear a silk / cashmere roll neck under a loser fitting jumper etc. Tights under trousers, silk socks etc. etc. etc. Look for tops with thumb holes to hold them over your wrist, silk gloves inside that then outer gloves over the top

For work were I am not allowed to wear anything below the elbow I tend to do things like wear gloves to work and each and every time I step outside / go on a break, finger less gloves / hand warmers when I can and keep reusable heat packs in my pockets and shove my hands on them every chance I get.

I also have these heat pads for shoes, slippers socks etc they are great in my big slouchy slippers.

Silver is FAB, I use them as under gloves but again being oh so sexy these go on when I get up! Have also been known to sleep in them!!!!

Possum wool gloves. I have Raynauds and these saved me over the winter.

What newname says about not letting hands and feet get cold in the first place is good advice. Once my feet are cold they stay cold and putting think woolly socks on insulates the cold in. I find I need an outside source of heat to get them up to temperature again as they cannot get there by themselves.

Wristwarmers make a huge difference imo - I have a number of pairs in microfleece, and some knitted ones. Then never expose your hands to the outside air - I use silk inner gloves, then woolly/fleece/thinsulate/down mittens on top depending on the temperature. The last few years I've bought a huge box of little hotties hand warmers on amazon which I tuck into my outer gloves or pockets. I have a hot rox electronic one as well, but find that not so warming

This is feet not hands sorry, but for all you nesh people like myself, I can recommend microwaveable slippers (got mine from amazon). They have literally changed my life last year, my feet were always so cold they were painful despite trying every single thick sock ever made

I have arthritis in my hands and feet and definitely would benefit from something warmer as we move into Autumn.

Im not bad at the moment but once the cold weather returns, and even more so if wet, then I will do.

I wear a thin pair of fleecy lined leather gloves and a pair of sheepskin mittens over the top. I then put in a disposable hand warmer between the two gloves.

Feet are my issue with chilblains and ulcers. I cannot get them to stay warm.

Gloves made from possum fur and merino wool are extremely warm. Google for UK suppliers.

The fur is ethically harvested - the possum is a massive environmental disaster in NZ, and are culled. The fur is blended with merino wool. It is very warm and soft and hardwearing. Amazing stuff.

I bought some possum gloves after a recommendation on here last year from kiwikate.
The first pair got holes on the thumb and finger. So they sent me a new pair. They have sadly done the same.
£22 wasted.
