I have bought these shoes but have now seen these shoes.

Which do you prefer?

what about something like this

IMO new look shoes are the most comfy of all I've triend, plus these come in a wide fitting. Also they would be fine to wear on a lawn so you wouldn't need to change to flats.

Those JC's are amazing!

No worries and also, if they don't go into the sale, Carvela (Kurt Geiger website) have some similar. They look quite 'sparkly' on the site - they're not. I tried them on yesterday and they're lovely.

Surely you could only go commando if you had trimmed(by that I mean razored to the ground) the lady garden Grin

I love the choos. They would look awesome with the dress.

Ifancyashandy, thanks, I'm poised for any sale action!

No no no to nude. Too Kate Middleton. Ageing. All the royals wore them at Zara P's wedding. Kiss of death.

And that lovely dress needs lovely shoes!

The Sophie Webster ones are gorgeous. And are delicate enough for the dress. Of the LKB ones, I too would have gone for the 1st pair as think the platform is too 'heavy' for the dress. Lovely colour though.

Here's hoping they go in the sale! You're going to look lovely.

MTALTIC, they are nice too and I can see that they would work, but a tad over my budget. Im looking around the £200 mark. Thanks for looking.

Yes I bought them from LKB themselves, it should be a 7 day refund period from last Friday but I just don't trust that they will count tomorrow as the 7th day so I'm going in this afternoon for my refund.

I've seen previous threads on here about lkb's poor return and refund policy. It's certainly added to my anxiety knowing I only had a very short window to decide if they were the ones.

Gigi - if you bought them from lkb rather than john lewis, return them asap - they are very tricksy over refunds.

I actually prefer the second ones, but think the first ones will look better with the dress for your wedding as they are more elegant.

I also agree with all the people that have said nude shoes would work as well - something like this could be nice www.jimmychoo.com/all-sale/ivette/invt/131ivetteblkid

I've come to a decision....

Out of the two pink pairs I prefer pair number one, however due to all your help and advice I have decided that I won't keep the shoes due to the following

  1. They are uncomfortable.
  2. They are suede and will get trashed v quickly
  3. Perhaps the shade of pink is not quite right for my skin tone.

I'm going to see if MrsCBs Sophia Webster shoes go in the sale and order both the neon pink and the rose gold pair for comparison and keep my favourite one assuming they will fit me..

I have also learnt the following through this process;

  1. My dress is see through!
  2. This bride will be wearing pants!
  3. That I will buy a back up pair of flat shoes in case it all gets too much.

Thanks for all the tips and help.

Congratulations!!! Your dress is lovely! And I like both pairs of shoes

You need a combination of both a pointed platform-louboutin style!! Think kg do the sort! Do NOT get a nude or glittery pair hot pink looks fab!! Good luck on your big day!!

Love the second pair, the extra height is sassy and fun. Beautiful dress!

Gorgeous dress.

I liked the second pair that MrsCB linked to. Much classier than the pink ones.

Couldn't have gone commando on my wedding day - I wouldn't have been relaxed. But if it's something you do on occasion then it might not worry you.

You need your wedding shoes to be comfortable, seriously. You will be on your feet all day, and you will be the focus all day too, so no sneaky hobbling off for a sit down...

FSG, thanks for the shoe suggestion but I do need some height, a heel of sorts is a must at least for the ceremony bit.

They are expensive. Maybe I should heed the fact that Kate is a bunion in waiting! They are not comfortable, I wore them for about 10 mins this evening. But I fear I may be asking for too much to expect comfort.

I have a modicum of toe cleavage when wearing them. Is that the norm?

I read your first line, LittleBear, on "Threads I'm on", and came on to say "I blame Kate" too Smile

Is it me or have LKB shoes got lots more expensive recently. They used to be £120/£140 generally. Now they're £170/£190.

I blame Kate Grin

These ones might work for all day? Though if you are very wide of foot, LKBennett might not be a good idea at all (I am too, and I can only wear them if I get a size too big and a half inner sole)

First pair, the others look more like night out shoes.

I know, bloody silly money!

I think your idea of a wedding at a registry office in a dress like that and then back to your house for a BBQ sounds far, far more enjoyable than dressing up in a great big dress and having a formal ceremony in a hotel with everyone on their best behaviour.
