Anyone had their tear troughs filled or whatever they do with them?

Omg I need this! I didn't even know it was a thing! I was all set to get blepharoplasty for my 40th in a couple of years but this is what I need instead I think.

I had them done recently on Harley Street. Dr Tan was amazing. I mean he has the most steady hands I have ever seen. And you truly have to be like that.

Anyway, the point is that just one week after the procedure, my black circles under my eye started to diminish and now I can't be happier. If I knew about this procedure earlier, would have done it so much sooner. After all the sleepless nights when I had my daughter, finally I have my reward. LOL.

I recommend Dr Tan for this procedure. He has a practice on Harley Street called Harley Street Medical Doctors. Have a look and let me know what you think. If you have additional questions, more than happy to answer.

The thought of having a needle next to my eye, scarred me so much. Luckily one of my friends came with me to cheer for me. LOL And I have done it. Was not painful and as scary as I thought. Next time, will be going by myself. But for now I am enjoying the fact that I don't need any make up to cover the dark circles.

Okay reporting back on the cannula experience! It was quite an odd sensation, I would say it's a little uncomfortable in parts, but i wouldnt go as far as to say painful.

It was over in a matter of minutes. Dr. Mountford assured me throughout that the procedure is completely safe (I think she could tell from my face that I was a little unnerved by the experience).

During the procedure I could feel something, I'm presuming the cannula, in the corner near my eye which was a little unsettling, but Dr. Mountford told me that this method is safer than the traditional multiple injection method so despite the few minutes of discomfort I would opt for the cannula again, the results are smoother and there is less risk of bruising.

I am a little swollen today, nothing too bad, my Argus eyed DP didn't notice, usually I can't get away with anything! It's more like the kind of swelling you get the morning after a big night. Its going down so I'm not concerned, I can tell I look fresher and I'm V pleased with the results. I would recommend!

Okay so going back to the cannula, the dr. injects one area, and the filler err, fills up the hollow area! I think it goes just above the cheekbone, anyway, I will find out tomorrow when I have mine done again.

Dr. Mountford said that the results are amazing, v smooth and as only one site is injected, there is only a small chance of bruising. As someone else commented she does not do the hard sell and will be honest about whether she thinks a certain procedure will be enhancing or a waste of money.

I know what people mean about being wary of any work near the eyes, but when I has the procedure previously I felt surprisingly comfortable and didn't have any concerns about my eyes, and believe me I wouldn't have anything done if there was a risk to my eyesight.

Last two tear troughs involved lots of little injections, but it wasn't particularly painful and only the v pain sensitive would require numbing cream. Dr. Mountford has a v light touch in any case and goes out of her way to be as gentle as possible. By the way I didn't used to have tear troughs they developed in my mid thirties, mine aren't that bad but I look a lot better post procedure.

I'd never heard of tear troughs before. When i read the title, I thought they were tear ducts & I was wondering why on earth anyone would want to fill them in! Now I've seen the photos in the link I'm relieved that I don't have them so that's one less thing for me to worry about/spend money on!

Oh, I really would like this done. I keep looking at it on the interwebs and wondering if it would sort my eyes out. The yearly repeats seem a bit of a pain though.

As an aside, I have started sleeping on an extra pillow at night and it has improved my eyes no end, although it was a bit back achey for a few weeks until I got used to it.

I went to see Tracey Mountford about doing mine. She was astonishingly honest and sent me home wtih some spendy eye cream instead (forgotten the make, some cosmeceutical wotnot, works quite well. still want some serious surgery to sort my eyes out though). Makes me think she's a good one to go to if she doesn't automatically take the cash.

I don't have them but if I did, and I could afford it, I'd zap them. That's just how I roll... :o

And I have judged people with crater-pores but in a soothing "poor them" way, not a ha-ha way. Speaking as one who has had hormonal acne and still does I empathise with self confidence bashing skin issues, big styleee.

Nah Valium, some people do have really obvious troughs, some don't (well until they are the least of our worries, in terms of skin ageing)
Up to those people to decide I think.
I worked with a woman with fairly obvious deputy dawg eye bags ..she had them done and felt fantastic. I'm not sure I would be brave enough though

My skin was very strange with each pregnancy and I did get massive pores
They filled, either as blackheads, or as massive pits awaiting foundation to pool there. It constantly pissed me off but I know it isn't an issue for lots of people but it was for me
They are almost back to normal now and I'm happier

Isn't that just 'shape of your eyes/face' but the beauty industry have convinced us we need it filling? In the same way we are all convinced that open pores are A Bad Thing - they are just pores, I have NEVER looked at ANYONE and come away thinking 'Oh my she was so pretty but my goodness her pores let her down!' It's all a load of tosh!

Bloody hell, I've had them since puberty struck.

But then, I've had stretch marks since before I knew what they were - they appeared at about age 7 with me (that I noticed as least). DS has them too and he's only 19mo. Moisturiser everywhere for him

Erm, I digress...

So, you can get them filled? Hmm... might be with investigating this.
