Am loving extra long cardi but surprisingly not that price!

Is it a little early to have spotted similar (& cheaper) in the shops or just wishful thinking - thoroughly bored of the all the Sales now!!

I think my delivery took a good couple of days aq! Hope yours is faster.
I'm now liking this www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-W549-SMWJKST/jacketscoats/beth-gilet.htm and the whole outfit of this www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-W498/alanya-cardi.htm with the feather silk dress.
It certainly has got me thinking that maybe I shouldn't spend £20/£30 here and there all the time on crappy stuff and buy half a dozen 'quality' pieces to do me all winter.

YY = Yes Yes I thought greggs.
I do wish I could find stuff that was cheaper and as good quality that fits me, wrap prices make my eyes hurt! My parcel of sales tops has been dispatched, just hoping it arrives (and fits) before I go on holiday on Fri.

Like the Becca - not liking the Marie - looks cheap acrylicy wool.

I emailed asking bout discount for kaftan - but they said nothing in the pipeline. They never mentioned the honouring of the cheaper price if I bought now and it was reduced in the coming month grrr.

On the cardi front, I also like the Becca:

www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-W487-SMWKW-SMWKW1/cardigans/becca-cardi.htm

and the Marie:

www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-W481-SMWKW-SMWKW1/cardigans/marie-cardi.htm

Both a little longer than the May, which certainly looks lovely too. All very expensive, alas, particularly if I order the Faith sweater, which I'm now fancying in either Silver Mink, or Jade. Hmmmm...

Are you sure that the cardi would be too short Poly? It says 27 inches - that comes to mid hip on me and I'm 5' 10. And do the lengths not get a wee bit longer the bigger the sizes?
I'd get it delivered and give it a go!

Still no sale on the kaftans!!

Really like that cardi - think it will look good. Alas, too short for me as i'm 5'9'' 9 a(s well as big and busty!) and so it would not be long enough with trousers/ jeans on me.

Agree 100% on their lousy stock availability, though!

what does YY mean?

YY to cardis rather than jumpers for big boobs

Thanks both, have done a big order although I usually send back half. I do think the sizing is huge so ordered usual size but it won't be here until sept! Sigh. It irritates me that half their stock is unavailable much of the time. At least boden give you a discount! The colours often turn out quite different esp the blue/grey ones but in a good way.

I think if you get it oversized (ish) aq - and leave it open like the model - it will be flattering on a big bust. Loving the deep ribs on the sleeves.
I think the image of the antique rose and the blue may be misleading - if they are the same colours as the items I have bought (they have the same colour description) - then the computer doesn't do them justice at all.

gregssausageroll · 30/07/2011 20:26

I think you'd be ok. As someone said above, it is free returns so I intend on ordering a few things (sods law I will like them all!).

Report
accessorizequeen · 30/07/2011 20:06

I'm in the middle of ordering (although I really shouldn't), several of my tops & a cardigan have just fallen to bits so I need quality replacements. Some of the colours are a bit too sludgy for me, but still plenty of things I like.
What do you think of this cardigan for huge bust? Have never spent so much on a piece of clothing but love the look of it in blue black. I wear cardigans constantly, I just get too hot for jumpers and feel more self-conscious with them.

The blue kaftan is a beautiful colour and very flattering on - please god let them have a sale on it soon!

I think Wrap sizes are big

TracyK · 30/07/2011 09:18

Oh and I got 16 harems and they fit perfectly, not too tight or too loose in the waist.

Report
TracyK · 30/07/2011 09:17

Those 2 tops would be v generous I would say.
I got www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-W444/cape-style-jersey-kaftan.htm in a 16 - I'm a top end 16 - and I think I could've done with a 14.
You get free returns - so I'd order them and try them. as you can't really tell if they will suit or not.
I had high hopes for www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-W337/klara-tunic.htm and it makes me look too busty and not very flattering.

gregssausageroll · 30/07/2011 08:37

How do their sizes come up?

Ach bollocks, I wish I hadn't clicked! There are a few things I like

jayne tunic

besty

Do you think you would need to be ultra slim for the jayne tunic?

Am loving these - www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-W609-SMWAC/accessories/anouska-arm-warmers.htm

I prefer the green or silver Faith - tho would maybe like to see the black - but think its a bit ££££ for just a black jumper. They do free returns so I'd order all three after my CC cut off date so I could see and return quickly.

Love the leather jacket but have seen equivalent (prob rubbish leather tho) on ebay and the like - so wouldn't pay that much for a leather jacket.

Like these -www.wraplondon.co.uk/fashion-W530-SMWTR/trousersjeans/jess-trousers.htm so don't know whether to return my unworn harem pants from them S/S and get these instead. Am undecided bout my harem pants. Like but don't love them. Make me look trendy but not slim iykwim.

Hmm, I prefer the black Faith as there is more contrast between the black and the silver.

Think I may go for Faith sweater - but jade or black - views, please!

PS That Mira one is lovely too. But think the Faith would suit my tall, large, hourglass shape better.

in green - in cream is what I meant!

Report

Here are my picks:

The Meera sweater in russet red. I love that colour and the patch details.

The Svana cardigan in green. This would be great for the coldest days of winter; I like the pattern - it's not too fussy.

These peter pan collar blouses - they are so pretty and I could wear them both at home and for work.

This leather jacket in either colour. I'm not really a leather jacket person but this one looks really flattering.

I will probably buy the first two items later on in the year, might wait for the sales for the rest.
