Could anyone suggest some resources for finding a nanny/childminder for a high functioning 6 year old? Thank you.

You can request social care assessments (a carer’s assessment for you and an assessment via the disabled children’s team for DS) which may result in some provision, but it may not fund the whole amount you need. You can also look privately.

We found one by just advertising on childcare.co.uk. definitely worth getting a carers assessment though as if you are working you might get a contribution towards paying the nanny.
