Aibu to feel this way after diagnosis

My ds has been diagnosed with a genetic mutation, it is not life limiting but has other symptoms including severe speech delay, autism, learn disabilities heart defects and more.
i am very grateful to finally get a diagnosis for him but I have an overwhelming feeling of grief for the life he’s not going to have, it is an awful feeling I am so thankful for him and feel guilty for feeling this way, can anyone relate?

Diagnosis is a strange time. I knew from ds’s birth that the day would come but it hit like a cold dull thud in my heart. It felt like that bit in a movie where they can’t hear after an explosion and walk round seeing everything with a ringing in their ears. Take it slowly and sleep and cry and let it settle into your understanding.

My DS has too. Sounds similar. May I ask which one it is?
