Hello, my daughter is going to be 4 in May and has autism. We are planning on turning the storage cupboard under the stairs into a sensory room for her to go to when she's feeling overwhelmed. (Not Harry Potter style)

i can stand up in the space so its not really tiny but it's small enough to be a cosy place for her to go and hopefully enjoy if we do it right. My current plan is to make a sequin wall, paint it all navy blue and paint stars on the slanted ceiling in glow in the dark paint, put a fish lamp, and infinity mirrors. A little basket of sensory toys a weighted blanket and lots of cushions for comfort. The idea is just a small little place away from us and siblings where she can go and be by herself if it's all too much. Has anyone done this themselves and have any pictures for inspiration or have any ideas? I kind of made a mock up of what I'm trying to achieve which I will attach
