I've always been prone to putting weight on easily (ie a greedy sod) but could lose it fairly easily too, ie when I did all the right things the weight came off. But since I turned 40ish it's all changed. I've put on nearly 3 stone over the past 2 years or less, without really eating much more and every time I try to lose it, I give up because it's so slow. I probably need to lose more like 5st but even the extra 3st gone would be fine, it'd leave me at a weight I feel comfortable enough at.
Im determined things have to change though, I really need to lose this weight , slow or not but I would love to hear from anyone else who is in a similar position so I can see the light ahead! I started 2 weeks ago and lost 3.5lbs the first week and 1.5lb last week so 5lbs altogether. You might think that's not bad but in years gone by I'd lose that in the first week! I've been checked for thyroid issues and I'm fine, I know in my heart I've probably knackered my metabolism through 30 years of yo yo dieting but please tell me it's still possible?! I'm actually embarrassed now to meet people and I'd love to get a stone or 2 off before Easter to help me feel better about myself. Any advice or experiences?
