Thing is, it could be a 'flu (and not that 'flu that everyone gets when they just have a cold but want sympathy, or are in possession of a penis), which means it's much worse than a cold, but still essentially untreatable.

This is so true!

By fortyplus on Sat 24-Feb-07 18:40:35 thread in Chat 'When I was pregnant I felt...'

Pregnancy might not be an illness, but if you had half the symptoms and you weren't pregnant you'd think you were dying, wouldn't you?

How about MrsBadger's particularly thorough beauty routine:

"shampoo hair, apply conditioner, pin up, apply face mask, bleach grout, scrub with toothbrush, rinse grout, rinse face, rinse hair, wash body, emerge clean and gleaming with sparkling grout, shiny hair and unclogged pores.

where's the bad? "

From this thread .

On the what to do at half term thread there was a cracker from Issymum:

"I think there may be a special place reserved in Hell for a mother who swans off to her office in London for a whole week leaving her children in the care of someone she found at the 11th hour on the internet and whose references she hasn't yet managed to check."
