Childs Watch

Would like to get DS a watch for his fifth birthday in a few weeks. He's very keen on the idea although hasn't got a clue about telling the time yet. I'd like to get one which says past and to with the numbers past and to as well as the main clock numbers. I'd also prefer to avoid a "character" one if possible. I know I've seen loads in the past but the argos ones don't grab me and at 37 weeks pg I don't want to trudge round all the jewellers. Anyone know of any good ones I can look at online?

Thanks all. I've ordered the one from GLTC. I'm sure it will be lost at some point but they are not that expensive so I feel its worthwhile. I'm terrible for loosing watches myself - but at the end of the day he wants to learn to tell the time!. Thanks

My now 6yr old got that Argos one when he was 5.

He likes it and can tell the time well now.

I know you said the Argos ones didn't 'grab' you but the one on the link does have what you are asking for - maybe worth a second look.

Letteerbox,do a nice one which has the face in two different colours to encourage them to tel the difference between "to" adn "after".
Can't remember web address but a search engine should do it.

Try also the Great Little Trading Company, too. They do them in red and blue.

However, a word of warning...

We got ds one for his 5th b'day, and the school said that he wasn't to wear it because at that age, they cannot look after things like that properly (esp. when they go swimming etc.) I huffed and puffed - said nothing - but resolved to let him wear it at w/ends and during the holidays. MY son, I thought, looked after his things. He'd never lose a watch....

Well he did, and I cannot find the blessed thing ANYWHERE!!
