Anyone who has a Tradex near them might like to know that they have the following offers from 26/9/02 - 6/10/02 - I got a flyer through this morning.

Wooden dolls house - similar to the Plan type ones - GBP32 - includes 6 room settings. Looks like it is made by a company called Voila, or
Veila

Wooden dolls to use with house - GBP1 each or family of six for GBP5

Mamas and Papas Deluxe children's pram GBP30 (RRP 54.99). includes rain cover and bag

Gap Athletic sweatshirts - adult 16 (I've never seen this sold outside Gap outlet shops or Barnardos)

They also have some Bang on The Door type bedlinen - footballer, fairy dancer and disco queen - GBP 8 per single duvet set.

Tradex have shops in Huddersfield, Hull, Leeds, Lincoln, Nottingham, Pudsey, Preston.

Also quite a few shops seem to have cut-price Xmas cards at the mo - Woolies and our local Co-op.

I like the sound of the dolls house for DD. I haven't had a Trader yet but I only live 3 miles away so I might have to pay a visit.

My mum bought one of these for our kids a couple of weeks ago from our local JFT cash and carry (£19.99 +VAT). Its about 18" x 12" and a sort of snowy mountain scene with a train running up the middle and lots of fibre optics. The very same model is £59.99 in our local garden centre! Round our way garden centres seem to be the best places for christmas decorations but its hard luck if you want to actually grow plants.

Hi PamT,it sounds lovely.I never thought about going round the garden centres.I just want something like that for the kids so we can get it out every year and it'll be something to feel nostalgic about like a xmas tradition sort of thing. And the best thing about it will be DH WILL HATE IT hee hee.
