What shoe size do your y7 dd wears?

My y6 dd is tiny and she will be in y7 in this September. She only wears sized 13 shoes at the moment. Just want to get some idea how small she is comparing to other kids in y7. Thanks

Size 5 or 5 1/2 depending on shop- she started secondary in size 4 though, has just had mad growth spurt and is now nearly my height but thinner with bigger feet! Next year is going to be scary.

There are plenty much smaller (and taller) than her though, she's around average but don't think yours would be the tiniest and if she was, well so what? I was the second smallest in my class all through secondary (the smallest was on growth hormones though! She may have overtaken me later).

We have a couple of tiny year 7s at my school. I had one in my yr 7 form last year and was worried that he would be picked on, but it was quite the opposite - the older students all thought he was 'cute'. It threw up a couple of practical issues (I'd pre-allocated the lockers in our form room before meeting them - he couldn't reach it) but all were easily resolved. It may also be worth checking out early what size the uniform goes down to if it is very specific.

My class are now year 8, I have the smallest feet out of all of them, despite being the tallest! It causes them endless amusement. I wish my feet were bigger, I trip a lot.

Thanks littlemissgreen, don't know if late bloomers are as common in girls as in boys. My dd s desperate for lace up shoes too but those she likes don't start until size 13. A few more months to go hope her feet would make it.

DS1 was a size 1 shoe whilst in Y6, he is now in year 7 and finally a 3.5. He was so pleased as can now buy lace up shoes! I think his feet might finally be catching up. When he started school in reception his feet were so small he had to wear toddler shoes still Grin.

You are going to struggle to get shoes that arnt babyish. We had to order them in especially for dd. this time last year she measured 13.5-1. When we got her new school shoes for year 7 back in August she measured a 1.5.

Dd has much smaller feet than any of her classmates.

My son is a size 9 - shocking! He is one of the tallest in his year though and puberty has hit! Wish he was smaller - size 9 shoes cost a bomb!

My year 6 dd is a size 5.5. She is 5ft. Wears age 12/13 mostly.

I am 5ft5 and wear size 7/8.

From my own experience bigger feet doesn't mean taller. I'm 5'9" and have size 5 feet which are definitely too small for me. I'd have less trouble staying upright if I had bigger feet I think.

So bigger feet don't necessary mean taller?

I must live in littlediddy land!
DD Yr7 is 4ft11 and wears a Size 2.5.
Her best friend also Yr7 is 4ft6 and wears a size 13/1.
Our school uniform is also available in extra small sizes.
In theory, they should all be great strapping farm lasses but there's a huge range, don't worry!

My DD has size 1.5 feet and is tiny too. They all grow at different rates and it isn't a problem.

Hope she is a late boomer and will keep on growing for longer. After all she doesn't seem to have any extra lumps or new hair.

Clothing she is generally ladies size 4/6 she is skinny but has longer legs than most petite ranges

My current Yr7 is wearing size 5, but when dd1 was Yr 7, I'm sure she was only about a 1 or 2.
They are all different - it's not an issue Smile

my dd started year 7 as a size 5, she finished as a size 6 and is now (year 8) size 8. She's tall (5ft 9) but not the tallest girl (the boys are all still much shorter).
