Hi
I am trying to find out if anyone has any experience with the Sackville School in Tonbridge, Kent. It looks like a nice small school and has a great website but can't seem to find any reveiews on line.
Many thanks for any help.

Hello! To follow at trend...I am visiting it today for dc1, heard good things. Bit concerned that it may have not focussed on SEN as much in recent years based on chat. Can anyone advise please?

@lzzy789 Sackville has a high number of students with additional needs/EHCP. It has a good LS dept but I wouldn't say it was a mixed ability school if that's what you want. I think it also has a gender imbalance with more boys (not sure if that is still the case). I would ask when you visit - class numbers and gender split.

I think it has struggled for numbers due to the great state options and more prestigious indies such as Sevenoaks or Tonbridge in the area. Beechwood Sacred Heart has had the same problem I think. That might be worth a look, good LS and nurturing but a bit more academically mixed than Sackville I think. BSH has recently been bought by the same group that owns Sackville.

lizzy789 I can’t help with info on Sackville but if you’re looking for a mixed, nurturing school, Bethany School near Marden might be worth a look.

Would love to hear more on this school. Considering it for my daughter. Is it still more boys then girls or has that levelled out?
Would be great to get some up to date info.

Does anyone have any recent experience at Sackville re a child with ASD and ADD, DCD, Dyslexia? He is academically high average but has several challenges ‘accessing’ his potential both physically and behaviourally. Thanks

Me too!
I was recommended Sackville for its small class sizes and S.E.N / Dyslexic support.
I went to the Open Day but would like the views of recent parents on the support received and any other comments. Thanks!

Hello. I'm in a similar position to maripi. Does anyone have any up to date views on Sackville School? I see there have been several headteachers in recent years and also a change of ownership last January.
